Have you read "Making Love..." yet? "Confessions..." is one of my favourite books ever (I have a signed copy with "to... (my real name here)... happy birthday" which Baz Auckland got for me at a convention in Canada. It's one of my most prized possessions.

She wants me to fire her...she's been asking me if she can have days off to do things (go out with friends and such), and if she can't get anyone to work, she calls in sick.

If we made widgets or took phone calls, that would be one thing, but we're a group home, so we can't very well tell the teenagers who live here to stay in their rooms and do nothing because we don't have staff in tonight.

Bruce Campbell as anything is amazing. His run as Autolycus on Xena was fantastic. And BC as that Doctor in Escape from L.A.

If you like that kind of thing (which I do) it's ace. Yeah, Devil's Rejects comes out here next weekend so I thought I'd watch 1000 Corpses again in preparation.

It's basically a pastiche of late 70s/early 80s movies like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's fairly shoddy, but you can tell Rob Zombie loves that shit, and his enthusiasm's kind of infectious. Kind of the way Kill Bill shows just how much Tarantino loves kung-fu films.

I've just agreed to dogsit for one friend and feed another's cat for the same fortnight. Is it me, or does that sound badly fated? I'm reminded of that picture of the dog and cat hudding eachother on a sofa in the Lovely Picture for Haus Thread.

Oh, BTW, have any UK member seen the excellent Channel 5 trailler for the showing of 'The Replicant' this Friday? The one with The Verve's 'Bittersweet Symphony' (etc)? Now that's what I call a trailer!

Stoatie, have you seen 'Driller Killer' (I'll bet you have). I haven't seen it yet (as if was banned in the days when I still had a video recorder), and my mate was saying the other day that he reckons it's "worse" than 'Salo'. Is that true?
