Not really, because I've shown up.

Unfortunately I'm very drunk, so I'm heading straight to bed agter this post. I'll ahppily take the thread killer title off your shoulders though.

And what are YOU doing this fine evening? I'm blogging and reading e-mails I'm terribly behind on.

Is it late yet? I'm feeling a little shifty... I've just got home from a lovely party- one of Lilly's best friends is moving back to Canada, which is very sad, but her send-off was really quite nice (especially the part where Tango-Mango, who was DJing, cleared the entire place with a nice blast of Bathory and Slayer...)
Now I'm home and trying to resist the siren call of the book of Sudoku puzzles I recently bought (and haven't got very far through, to be honest...)

I'm addicted to Codebreaker books myself at the moment, Stoats.

Evenin' all!

Slayer, eh? Cor, it's been a while since I heard them. 'Bastards sons begat your cunting daughters' - here, they don't write lyrics like that anymore!

What do you like about sudoku? I can't really work it out, it just makes me stressed.

I like stuff that's got that minimal "purity" to it, but has the potential to be very complex. I think it's a result of playing chess on acid one too many times. I like the idea that anyone can at least have a go- you don't even need to know the numbers, colours or symbols would work just as well. It only takes the capacity for reason and abstract thought, rather than any prior knowledge of anything.

That said, I have yet to complete the first one in the book. I am beginning to question my capacity for reason and abstract thought.

There's also something reassuring about the fact I can be interested in something which doesn't involve simulated violence or reading about people undergoing some kind of hardship or stress (which is, I guess, where pretty much all drama comes from, so covers most stuff I read, not just the horror/serial killer end of things!) It kind of makes me think I could have the potential to be nice and wholesome.

That and the fact I'm so shit at it that book's gonna last me YEARS.

Actually, I think you'll find they do. In Norway. \m/

I like puzzle games, but haven't played that one yet. I play a lot of "bejeweled" when I get stressed out of have to wait somewhere for extended periods of time.

I think that puzzle games get the short shrift by "gamers" who want big flashy graphics that push their machines to the limit, while having limited playability.

Whoah! The cricket's weird. Well, cricket's fairly weird anyway, but I just heard some interviewer guy say to some cricketer guy "you were jumping all over Freddy and holding on to his jugs".

Bugger. There go my dreams of becoming wholesome.

I used to love number crosswords for the same reason but I find sudoko a bit too difficult. I'm not very good at logic games or games in general actually. In fact I can't even write a plot for a novel.

Hello all of you!!!
I just got back from a wonderful weekend at the lake. Spent most of it kayaking. Pure bliss.

Except for all that wild life.

Soon he will cross the road only to get eaten by an alligator

But...it's all...animal-like.

I think I'll stay indoors where the only animals at work are the residents.

I wish.

In fact, if I get to wish for a band to be here at work tonight, I'd like it to be The Replacements. And if someone could make that happen, I'd given them a hug.

Sorry, I can't do that for you.

They're just not returning my calls since 'the incident'

Were there Skittles?

Mazarine
03:09 / 08.08.05
No, just rain, and sunshine. Other features of my day included a mantis (brown), a bunny (or possibly the same bunny two different times), and a turtle which I rescued from being squished on the highway (though like five cars drove over it without hitting it and every time the turtle made such a face. Totally appropriate- "Fuuuuck!!! Why did I walk out here?!")

I'm not a big skittles fan. Though I do dig their commercials.

And how was your day Keggers?

03:16 / 08.08.05
MY day was both alright and ok. I spent most of it down at the lake and when I got back I found out that one of the persons who were supposed to model for my tarot cards may have a horrid sunburn thus postponning the shoot for who knows how long...arrgh!
