Oooh, Bloody Mary. I was vaguely trying to get together a drinking game to accompany a viewing of Paris When It Sizzles - which is an Audrey Hepburn film, and not a very good one, but William Holdern is sinking Bloody Marys all the way through it; and I think some degree of interactivity would make it a more enjoyable viewing experience, so to speak. Like the Withnail And I drinking game, but with ditzy Audrey in place of REG.

Type: on the rocks (IBA version)
Alcoholic level: alcoholic
Basic liqueur: Scotch Whisky
Equipment: directly in the glass
Glassware: Old Fashioned glass
Garnish: undecorated

Ingredients
7/10 Scotch Whisky
3/10 Amaretto (Italian liqueur)

How to make it
Place some ice cubes in the glass and add all the other ingredients. Serve undecorated.
The cocktail is ready.

the good thing for me about having worked in curating/galleries, is that *any* kind of liveable salary is a massively exciting prospect.

Ie, as opposeed to alot of other people i know who've moved into counselling from corporate wages/jobs and find the salary job horrifying.

Its funny, the whole money thing. I have a friend who makes and designs clothes and craft stuff. He is really good. And he is committed to being dirt poor. He goes on at length about how having money - and his threshold is really low - corrupts. You need it, you stress about it, you are horrified at the thought of not having it. So he ends up essentially turning down thousands, all down to his designing, because he doesn't believe in money. You've gotta admire that. Even though it is a touch extreme.
