ONLY NICE THINGS

Criminy. Good luck, Paleface. Will keep my fingers crossed.

Even in my sleep. For I must try to get back on something resembling UK time. Milky drinks and Lavender essence all round. N'night.

Night Haus.

Anna- I've been thinking of purchasing or making (upon the aquisition of some talent) a purple fluffy coat. How's yours working out for you?

Job options? Any. Well, that's a bit of a lie. I refuse to work in any kind of fast food capacity, I'd probably say no to working in a factory and I'm not entering the world of politics, no matter how much they beg me. Apart from that the only provisos are that the job pays money and only requires the few skills I have (Bad puns, obscure film and tv knowledge, convincing dolphin impersonations).
Good luck Paleface, although I'm sure you don't need it.

Oh gosh, good luck Paleface, I too will keep my fingers crossed. Ditto Bizunth, mein freund.

I am here, trying to work out why it should be that, even though I have actually finished my bally degree, I am still having a sodding essay crisis. (Actually I know the answer to this: my supervisor is a sadist. But if I play ball he might give me a decent reference...)

I'd just like to point out that A) I'm sorry for the priggish comments about fast food and factory jobs and B) 'my friend' who has a degree result due tomorrow is actually my friend. I'm not using the classic imaginary friend displacement technique.

Its 8:09 pm.... my 2 nieces just left (almost 2 and 4)... the house looks like its been attacked by klingons from the planet Toys R Us... chaos. Im finally getting a chance to relaze without having to check whether Niece A is putting object b into wall socket c or if Niece B is hitting Niece A with chair 2... the quiet is deafening.

Ah my lovely Paleface, whatever the final mark is I will continue to worship your far superior intellect and capacity to remember.

Now on to the important things- when one is definitely trying to forget about things like degree results- the purple fluffy coat is quite old and has a small hole over the left wrist and looks like a Sesame Street character (see how I was all global then). They're nice but it's impossible to have such a thing as a waist when wearing fluff so you need to be careful about the length and weight of the material. Mine cuts off just above the hips thus it's fine but any longer and I would look hyper ridiculous as opposed to semi ridiculous. Definitely best to buy I suspect.

Duly noted. I thank you.

I frequently wish I had one of those coats with the large fluffy collars/lapels that you see sometimes on bishonen in yaoi drawings. Then I remember that I am not a bishonen, being about half as tall and significantly wider in places.

Soft yaoi of course. Very soft. We haven't gotten round to taking off our coats yet soft.

Yes. Shutting up now.

Yikes and I frighteningly found Laurell K. Hamilton (bad, slashable vampire books) yaoi art the other day. It's such an intricate web of cringe.

Paleface will, of course, rock the house. This is a fact.

Me, I'm considering buying one of these tarot decks as they rock incredibly. Listening to Supergrass (I should've relented earlier and acknowledged that people with sideburns that good can't help but rock, somewhat) and working away - it's a rich life.

gneh... too wound up to be typing. Bishonen is Japanese for "beautiful boy," in reference to some of those ridiculously fine-featured young men that make frequent appearances in Japanese comics and animation. Yaoi is the term for a story in which two gentlemen are intimately involved with one another, and some of the most ridiculously fine featured characters are found in such tales.

I apologize. I'm hyper tonight, and not quite thinking straight.

See, now why couldn't I have said that?

Blech, indeed, a world of no. There should be laws against any fanart of any sort being produced based on books that horrid.

What, then, is shonen ai?

Mazarine
00:41 / 20.06.03
Literally translated, boy love. I think it's not quite the same thing, but there are probably subtle distinctions I don't grasp. The usefulness of my semester of Japanese four and a half years ago is now exhasuted.

The definitions of Shonen-Ai, Yaoi and Bishonen are pretty good at The Shrine of Bishonen

Ooh! Kraken! How could I forget kraken? There should be more kraken. Everywhere.

Rothkoid, that was horrible especially the Eye bit. I think you should put a warning on those kind of things, I'm a very delicate person and I don't want to be exposed to such nastiness without some expectation as to what I'm witnessing.

Bring on the Kraken. Battening upon huge seaworms in his sleep. Mmm, seaworms.

They have lobsters at the covered market. They put rubber bands round their claws to stop them pinching the customers... I think they should take the bands off and put things on a more equal footing. I hate watching the poor things sitting there, unable to do more than wave their feelers in a feeble manner, and pathetically wibble their mandibles.

The Return Of Rothkoid

Lobsters are like the flick-knives of the ocean. Don't trust 'em, kids!
