The Return Of Rothkoid
22:54 / 18.06.03
About to go off to a course. But have discovered that once more, through crafty accountancy, I'm paying rent for my flatmate again. Oh, joy.

I swear to god I'm never moving in with anyone who's not family, madly in love with me or someone I know well. Hmmph, yeah right.

Ethan Hawke
23:15 / 18.06.03
hmmm...i think those three categories describe who I would never move in with again.

Saint Keggers

At thins point im just looking for a job and a place to live I dont care who I move in with, within reason...no 400pound drug dealling bikers who want me to be his 'friend' now that he's out of prison, as long as its a studioloft, they dont smoke and dont mind the occasional scream and things flying accross the room.

Well it's worked so far- well, except for the madly in love thing and that's got to happen later (definitely not sooner)... perhaps. I think I'm hell to live with, I steal food from people all the time.

I've spent the last hour considering the benefits of living at home as compared to living in Cardiff and it all seems to come down to food. We're never short of milk here and in Cardiff I always had to restrict the milk usage else my skydiving housemate would complain. On the down side my mother never buys enough normal bread. She seems to stock up on the nastiest kind of rye bread but she also buys me puddings. I think she wants me to be fat. My brother's on a health thing and also keeps brushing his teeth everytime he eats anything with a high sugar content- he may be mad. My mum's making up for his healthiness by feeding me junk. Also I don't spend three hours a day telling my Iranian housemate that having silicon injected in to her lips is a very bad idea. That's got to be a blessing.

Why would your housemate complain about your milk habits?

ONLY NICE THINGS

Well, presumably she was skydiving into a huge bowl of Weetabix, and without enough milk it was all hard and biscuity and she broke bones.

Natch.

Saint Keggers
23:54 / 18.06.03
Never ever skydive into a bowl of Rice Krispies; that Snap, Crackle and Pop could be you.

Ah, the joys of communal living...
Although I've never lived with a skydiver. To my knowledge. Unless they did it on the sly without letting on.

My fiance and I live together fairly happily, in spite of my propensity for clutter and his little vials of bugs. Of course, we've been doing it for a while, and thus, practice. I have terrible eating habits, and while he is not at all adverse to the prospect of my gaining ten pounds, I've managed to avoid it. We go through an ungodly amount of milk, sometimes as much as a gallon a day between the two of us.

I just got a phone call from my local bookseller confirming my reservation of Harry Potter 5. I wished her luck with the trial by fire of weekend that awaits her. She seemed fearful of the coming storm, but put on a brave face. Gods bless her.

Haus good luck with your early nights, I'm off to one of mine. Good night everybody.

A few copies were accidentally put on the shelves last week at the local Walmart. Some kid got her pic in the paper because she got one before the error was discovered and the books pulled.

Oh God, I'm so glad I'm not working at Forbidden Planet anymore... can you imagine how much the coming weekend would suck? (Although I'm now pissed off that I'm working night shift this week cos people are over in the Gathering discussing Kosmische this Saturday... and Cobra Killer are playing at it, too.)
I've ordered mine from Amazon to avoid queuing hell.

Tryphena Absent

Apparently I use too much milk. I like milk in hot chocolate and that's a terrible sin. I like to drop in that she's a skydiver because, you see, they're terribly normal until you get them on to their pet subject (which is skydiving).

I wish I'd been at that Walmart. I'm sooo going to be one of those hellish customers... I'm not even planning to buy Harry Potter on Friday night, I just have to see a bookshop open at midnight and full of pissed adults. It's just too ludicrous not to witness- maybe we should have a barbemeet to witness the madness of it all!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
00:51 / 19.06.03
We should all queue for ages and then buy something completely different that's been out for months.

Saint Keggers
00:58 / 19.06.03
Or we sneek in very early and rip out all the last pages..

Saint Keggers
01:00 / 19.06.03
And how can you have hot chocolate without milk?? Thats just plain wrong!

Tryphena Absent
01:33 / 19.06.03
Personally I think it should be done... I'm just not sure anyone else would be up for a midnight observation trip to a bookshop on a Friday.

And yeah Kegboy- it's totally wrong!

The Return Of Rothkoid

Although I've never lived with a skydiver. To my knowledge. Unless they did it on the sly without letting on.

Better they do it on the sly than on the cheap. Can you imagine how much more hectic flatsharing would be if you lived with someone who compulsively hurled themselves off the television?

Tryphena Absent

Har de Ha Ha.

The Return Of Rothkoid
01:59 / 19.06.03
It's entirely true. Especially bad when you're drunk.

Then there was the flatmate who decided that she'd try to use those flaming-balls-on-end-of-chains things (like poi of death) indoors...

Saint Keggers
02:11 / 19.06.03
There was this one drunk guy a while back who burnt his house down when he was aiming fireworks out is livingroom window..but the idiot forgot to check to see if his window was open.

The Strobe
03:19 / 19.06.03
It's stupid o'clock and I'm going to sleep after my college June Event, which was awesome: highlights included a stonking set by yours truly, James Taylor of the James Taylor Quartet possibly offering me organ lessons, the Freelance Hellraiser being the absolute fucking don and drinkdrinkdrink. Tired.

And only got about five hours sleep before it having got in at 6am the previous day from a stonkingly brilliant ball.

So all in all, rather good. Fucking tired, though. Beeeeed.

The Return Of Rothkoid

Curse you young'uns and your June Events! My June Event is... well, does getting a haircut count? Because I just got one. And it's quite nice.

My June Event is... um... probably not gonna happen until July, the way my finances are going.

Nearly the weekend! Hooray!

Where is everyone this morning? Wakey wakey Barbelith...I got lots of sleep last night so I'm on a buzz this morning.

Was watching Transformers the movie last night so I'm beginning to know what you people are talking about when your mention Ultra Magnus and all that...

Mr Messy
07:47 / 19.06.03
Ultra Magnus
Isn't that some kind of condom? What was this Transformer movie?

I'm here and should be writing. Thursday has been declared as my day to write. But the only thing I am writing is this here now.

Bear
08:03 / 19.06.03
I think that was his name, I'm sure I'll be corrected if it's not

It's a movie from the late 80's I believe all about this huge transformer that's zooming around eating up space stations.

What should you be writing?

Mr Messy
08:15 / 19.06.03
There are many things I should be writing.
There's an article on the Paris Marathon, which is very very late. A case study I need to finish before September. And some creative stuff that should be done by tommorow, although blah blah blah I fancy a big bath.

At this moment zooming around space, snacking on space stations sounds like a rather pleasingly simple existance.

I'm conscious. I'm tidying the house, smashing ideas against one another in my head to see if any will merge, reproduce or just fight to the death. Anyone else?

Mazarine
22:26 / 19.06.03
Working on my tarot deck, cookin' up some ramen. How goes?

Tryphena Absent
22:28 / 19.06.03
A little hungry, a little over excited and wearing a purple fluffy coat. What's happenin'?

22:29 / 19.06.03
Yay, no work again tonight, I even have the energy to start my creative writing project.

Eloi Tsabaoth
22:31 / 19.06.03
Ach, I'm tense. Friend of mine gets hir degree result tomorrow, a lot riding on that. Also considering job options. Plus, distressingly, I seem to be talking like Nightcrawler, if my first sentence is anything to go by...

ONLY NICE THINGS
22:35 / 19.06.03
I should be writing, but I am reading instead - must be running at about 1200 pages in the last couple of days. Once I finish this book it's back to writing, though; I think I'm dodging the issue.

What sort of job options are you weighing up, Biz? Mein kamerad?

The Strobe
22:39 / 19.06.03
Am tired still, but brain wants to be awake. Tomorrow, or rather, later today, is big degree results thing. A bit scared, a bit beyond scared. Just want to know, really. Praying for that elusive 2:1. Other than that, really happy, if dehydrated. And waiting for my fricking Powerbook to arrive.
