They are lovely, aren't they? If I didn't have so much invested in PCs already, I'd move everything over to mine like a shot.
The reason I am here, people, is to alert you to the fact that Firefox 2.0 is out and it kicks ass. During this post alone I have used its inbuilt spellcheck [!] four times. Go get, now now now.

Downloaded it a mere hour ago and am already considering buying a T-shirt, I'm that impressed.

This has been a fantastic year for recorded music and live shows. I'm finally getting to live a life that at least resembles the one I imagined for myself when I moved here. Yay live shows! Yay big acts in small venues!

Finally! My son is in school again!

I jumped through the Quebec Ministry of Education's hoops of political agenda, against democracy, constitution and my own better judgement. Finally, my documentation was obtained and approved. Now, my boy can go to english school. I won't rage on about the Ministry's ineptness and biases,(that belongs in another thread), but this wasn't easy.

I love the new school. It is closer to our home and the administration is much more pleasant than the last school. I like his new teacher too. YAY!

I love me some Penny Arcade. Though I suspect the American 'Lithers might all enjoy this one, even the none geeky.

The spell-check option rocks. All my stupid are underlined!

uhm...cute pix Kali, but that last one worries me.

Yeah, that last one is a bit frightening. I do not take such liberties with my cats. I'd be wearing an eyepatch.

My cats are the most spoiled things on the planet and my God do I love them.

My scalp is itching. My crotch is itching. Parasitic mites you ask? No! It is peroxide! Prepare, oh cast of rotating extras, to behold my snowy white bush!

Or should I die both of them blue? Or should I die my hair blue and my pubes green?

So many decisions! Help me decide Barbelith!

Okay, the blistering rash you're going to get in a day or two? Probably just the dye.

Probably.

PS: I heard there was a fad a few years back for dying yr pubes blue. It was called a "Tiffany."

oh yeah, and in future--get some granulated no-sugar sweetner, right, and put a couple of big spoonfuls of that in your peroxide mix. Stops the burn.

Thanks heart. I will watch out for the rash.
Snowy isn't quite as snowy as I though he would be. He's more of an Aslan. I'm now googling "Tiffany".

According to The Observer's "Food Monthly" supplement, the style got it's name due to a visual similarity to the blue box that Tiffany diamonds are sold in. Thanks Google!

I went for pale blue curtains and dark, turquoise-green for the carpet. I forgot the green stained the skin so magnificently. I look interesting.
Not good. But interesting certainly. Luckily, by the time someone finds out about my massive camo-style staining we will already be naked.

Just bought a whacking lot of cheese. Humboldt Fog, Brillat-Savarin, Mt. Tam, and some others. And some quince paste and plum paste. And lots and lots of fresh bread.

And a ginger lemonade.

Just come back from a friend's house, many many miles away. I've been reminded of both how good it is to go see your friends, and how nice it is to come home to your dog.

More Ben Chatham goodness. The credits are the funniest thing about it, but if you go to the home-page you can watch some of Sparacus' Chatham adventures as flash movies.

Orange, mango and lime smoothie. Wow. Blew the socks off my Monday-brain-fog. With black coffee chaser - likelihood of making significant intellectual progress today increased to at least 5%.

I am so thankful for Echinacea tea. I used to have severe joint pain and now it is gone. I have to drink the tea everyday, but it seems to be working. My energy level is better too. The yoga was helping, but the results together are phenomenal. I didn't know that Echinacea was good for inflamation in the joints, but apparently it is working!

I am also extrememly happy about my new Pirate Snoopy Pyjamas.

It's Sheena's birthday!

Unfortunately I can't have the party for her I'd planned because she's on heat, so most of her dog friends aren't allowed anywhere near her. But I bought her a bone and a new toy, and tomorrow I'm gonna buy her a training harness so she doesn't choke herself when she sees another dog up the road...

Oh cube, very funny...

There's also a battery-operated "Power Handle" option that makes the whole thing buzz like a wasp in an envelope - not to help you shave, but to offer yet more fleeting distraction from the UNREMITTING MISERY OF LIFE.

Gives me a twisted happy, too.

That's just made a pretty good day even better.

Oh, and a happy-at-one-remove- one of my friends, who's seven-and-a-half months pregnant and has been living in a hostel for over a year has finally got a council place, and has, as of this morning, moved in enough of her stuff that she can actually live there.

Oh, Jesus. This is funny and I'm having trouble not laughing out loudat it because no-one at work would understand why.
