"Peggy's no bother at all. Most of the regulars know her as she's been coming in here for years and for them Peggy's a bit of a novelty. She's a proper lady."

I've just done some voice-over work!

This is something I've dreamed about doing and now, in a small way, it has happened. My company's retooling our website, adding new features and fun stuff to get people to hang around and explore. One of the odder things is an animated bee that says stuff when you roll your pointer over a category link. I am the voice of said bee, having spent a few minutes saying things like "BEE proactive!" and "Un-BEE-lievable!" in a voice that is veeeerry reminiscent of Stitch from Disney's "Lilo and Stitch". How cool and and how silly is that? I hope it leads to more, even if it's only in-house (which I'm sure it will be).

The bee isn't up on our site yet (I'll link to it when it goes live so you can laugh along with me). In the meantime, check me out in our web PSA at YouTube titled "Font Addiction". One line of dialogue and, yes, that's me on the VO at the end. Now you know what I sound like!

It's not so much the horse but Lula's turn of phrase re: the horse that makes me happy.

I haven't heard the phrase "x is/are the nuts!" for a while now, and I have missed it.

Oh - and being barbequoted for the first time! (Even if it's regarding a fairly horrendous situation.)

I'd like to thank my parents, my friends, my fluffy-deity-of-choice... But I'll have to go now before I cry.

Seeing Public Enemy last night is still giving me a happy. They fucking rocked the house AND Flava Flav was wearing a kilt, which is a hilarious sight.

I bought some crayons for 75c the other day. I was assuming they'd be like cheap crayons usually are, nasty hard little things with hardly any pigment that leave a half-hearted smear on the page. Nuh uh! Soft, creamy, bright colours. These are niiiiiiiice crayons.

Bananas foster with walnuts, raisins, and marshmallows on top. Some of which actually nicely toast when the rum is ignited.

Gravy made from shallots and portabello mushrooms and red miso. Vegan until the moment it touches until the amazing Swedish meatballs.

These things make me happy.

The description of that bananas thing is making me happy just reading it. What's in it?

Yet another breathless beautiful example of someone who gets the underlying theme of the Doctor.

What's even better--better than comparing the episode to The Tempest--is that he's one of us.

His reviews always make me a bit sniffly in a happy way.

The officially OVER bit was something I half deleted cos i thought it was obvious. Something about my time as a cool gal about town being...

Tomorrow I'm getting a razored asymetrical mullet and some footless tights. The rot must stop!

I just snapped and counted the pipe-dream monies that were living in a glass bottle in my room. I expected there to be maybe about a hundred pounds if I was lucky.
Turns out to be closer to £450. Been eating one meal a day for two weeks. I'm so chuffed. And it's my dads birthday today too.

I'm off buy him a present now.

One of my sisters - the asymmetical mullet, footless tight wearing good-time girl (and her partner) - has just been down to see her nephew.

I love my sister and her bloke.

Old-skool Barbelith people- remember how tedious it used to get when I just used to get drunk and say how much Biscuits (my old dog, bless her) used to give me a happy?

Sorry, guys, but I'm doing the same now with Sheena. I can't be sad when there's that cute little furry monster hassling me to have fun all the time. With that NOSE!!!

Quite alot is giving me a happy at the minute. College/work are excellent. But better than that after months of uncomfortable, often tearful encounters, hurt feelings, tip-toeing around and general misconceptions my ex and I have decided to give it another go. This time around it's been pretty fucking wonderful. Early day ebullience, of course, but still so initially promising. I'm wary, naturally, but, as in that popular musical number, he's undeniably one of my favourite things.

One night. A bar. A Galaga machine. Seven whiskies in two hours. One quarter. And Me.

The seventy-sixth level and eight hundred and eighty-eight thousand points.

Somewhere, an advanced galactic civilization is loozing a horizontal scrolling war against pixelated, vaguely insectile barbarians. Provided they keep me properly sauced after pick-up; I shall never be heard from by anyone ever again.

I have found a shop that sells Glenmorangie whisky for €22. I´ve been sitting on my balcony drinking it listening to Bonnie Prince Billy. I am happy.

So, about a month ago, I dropped my iBook on the floor and it got broke. That was a bit shite. Phoned the insurance, they told me if they could fix it, they'd send it back, if not, they'd give me a new one. At first, I think they were going to try and give me the same model, but the policy is old for new, so I phoned up and got them telt.

They phoned up out of the blue when I was at work to say that they were going to give me a Spanking New Black Macbook. One of those ones that has the intel duo processor, making it a fast as fuck PC or Mac. That was quite nice.

They missed the first delivery, telling me it'd be another week. A wee bit annoying, but no big deal, I am getting a new laptop after all. Next week came. Now it's getting put back two weeks. A bit more frustrating. They said it'd be no earlier than the 24th.

At work for a ten hour shift today. Horrible, horrible day. The most shambolic, busiest shift I've had since I've been there. Missed a Jonathan Richman gig cause I couldn't get my shift covered. Well pissed off.

When I get home...... Hooray! The MacBook...... The Baby has arrived without warning in a puff of smoke to make everything all better!

I'm on it now! Just connected to the internet! It's beautiful.

Lovely misty morning over Hyde Park on the way to work. Not only that but I saw, in addition the many cyclists, a recumbent, two tandems and yes, even a unicyclist commuter.

This just keeps getting better.

I love Autumn. Specially In October before it gets all bitter and Wintry.

I also love Alan Moore in a suit. He's only eight months older than Neil Tennant. Who also looks fine in a suit. David Tennant, who's real name is David McDonald, chose his stage name after reading a PSB interview. David Tennant also rocks the suit look.

David Tennant's suit tailored for maximum hotness to such a ridiculous degree. I like that David Tennant's favourite band is the Proclaimers. It's cute in a "you can't be serious" sort of way.
