Egyptian Free Jazz Hoodoo. With Cheerleaders.

Love Egyptians, love Free Jazz, love Hoodoo. Hated those cheerleaders.

If they lacked any more pep, they would've keeled over.

Floats: I still think the lead singer of PT Grimm looks like Rachid Taha.

{Damn! He was here yesterday...and good pictures of him are hard to find. Ah well...}

Can't recall if you were around for the (drunken!) conversation...I mentioned that Rachid was North African, and the "Egyptian" idea may have come from that. Sorry bout that...

*peers through liquor-hazed memories*

Sounds familiar now. Didn't mean to sounds like I was kvetching. Looked up Rachid and I see what you mean.

So, when does the East Coast Contingency of Barbelith plan on getting back together? I think we should endeavor to make it happen more frequenly.

Floats really only looks that bad after having consumed healthy quantities of gin and Cutty Sark, honest.

AllieCat, you had me scratching my head until the PM, but it's still early for me. Hope you decide to join us for the next meet.

I'd be down for a Baltimore/DC trip, I can always take a few days from work, and I should have my van on the road by then, so I'd be happy to pack a peck of 'lithers into it and cart them down.

What I'd really like, however, is to make a mass migration across the sea London-side. Anyone wanna think on that and let me know?

Yeah, right, I recall seeing you *possibly* much worse, but remember the contaxt we know each other from...

Anyway, yeah, I'm now in Annapolis, MD, so Baltimore is a perfect place...

OK BK, keep me posted. The time isn't ever a problem for me, and I can scrape up the cash real quick, especially if it takes me back to London.

Well, hopefully I'll have my place together by the end of the month. Just south of DC (about 20 mins to the nearest subway station) decent collection of DVDs, books, comics, and CDs to puruse. And for Floats, a cable modem (as soon as I acquire a computer with at least a 166MHz chip in it)

So, by March, those looking for lodging in the DC area have an option. And for larger gatherings, there are two motels with in walking distance (Quality Inn and something similarily chainy)

Oh, and also for Floats, liquor store and discount cigerrette shop with in walking distance.

So there's this moose, right?

And he hides his horns in a top hat, right?

And he's on rollerblades but everything;s frozen over, right?

And everybody calls him Pete even though his real name is Samuel, right?
