Bah! Its late enough!

iamus
01:19 / 16.08.07
I really need to bite my tounge here.

iamus
01:20 / 16.08.07
And I've been drunkering.

Saint Keggers
01:22 / 16.08.07
I too have been drunkerinz

Why are you biting yoer tongue?

iamus
01:27 / 16.08.07
Never mind.

What have you been drunkering? I have been on pishy bottles of Miller, but I do have a bottle of frighteningly good Laphroaig I got from looking after Proinsais' pets for a week!

Yay for Single Malts!

This Sunday
01:27 / 16.08.07
Venger, tongue biting is the coolest fad of the moment. Everyone on the 'lith is doing it. Didn't you know?

And personally, it distracts me from the taste of shoving my foot in my mouth moments before.

Saint Keggers
01:28 / 16.08.07
*wimper* (for current lack of single malts, or any matls really)

Im drinking Liebfraumilch. Its a white wine. One of the three batches I made. (white, red and rose)

iamus
01:29 / 16.08.07
Yes! A venerable skill and no mistake!

Many can learn from your wise example!

iamus
01:30 / 16.08.07
Ah, but homemade wine circumvents expensive and refined alcohol on the virtue of being made by YOUR OWN TWO HANDS! Which makes anything taste twice as sweet.

Saint Keggers
01:31 / 16.08.07
OK. SO I bit my tongue...what do I do with the end part. Its going to get lost if I just stick it in my pocket.

iamus
01:32 / 16.08.07
Stick a wee pair of googly eyes on it and mount it on a cocktail stick.

Obvious, really....

Ah, but homemade wine circumvents expensive and refined alcohol on the virtue of being made by YOUR OWN TWO HANDS! Which makes anything taste twice as sweet.

oh, you poor nieve person. There there. There there.

This Sunday
01:34 / 16.08.07
I take it the new wine is better than the other night's bad batch?

iamus
01:35 / 16.08.07
You've just become jaded.

You've just forgotten.

Saint Keggers
01:38 / 16.08.07
Well the new wine is white and red seems to need longer to age. So, while Im sure the red will eventually surpase the white, at this moment the white is nice

iamus
01:41 / 16.08.07
How long do you leave your reds to age?

Actually, how long have you been making your own, Keggers? You've been doing it at least as long as I've been lithing.

Saint Keggers
01:44 / 16.08.07
I've been making wine since... um.. 93?

I really only leave my reds to age the barest of the barest minimum, (about 4 weeks). They should be left at least 4 months but I seems I drink faster than I brew. Strange that.

Papess
01:45 / 16.08.07
And they still taste fabulous, Venger. I wish I had some right now. I am stuck with St.John's Wort tea, to try and help my anxiety.

Saint Keggers
01:46 / 16.08.07
Try chamomille.

iamus
01:53 / 16.08.07
If I could brew up some lovely Chinese tea for you lot (doing the ceremony and everything) at this moment, then I totally would.

That's the best I can do at the mo.

iamus
01:54 / 16.08.07
Though that's just teapot overkill.

I admit it. I was showing off.

iamus
01:55 / 16.08.07
And that's not actually my set. I stole it from somebody on flickr.

I don't deserve tea.

Saint Keggers
01:55 / 16.08.07
Jsut wondering: Who's the modern equivalent of Betty Page?

Papess
01:56 / 16.08.07
If you can preform the ceremony, I think you are more than deserving of tea. Gosh, I love a good Tea Ceremony.

This Sunday
01:57 / 16.08.07
We're magnanimous. Have a cup, deserved or not. Heck, have two cups.

iamus
02:00 / 16.08.07
I can do the ceremony well enough, but fellow barbelite Proinsias is yer man if you really want to talk turkey. That man knows his tea.

I've fallen behind a little of late, but it seems I may be making tea for a Kung-Fu master (no lie) at the start of next month, which is...... intimidating.

This Sunday
02:00 / 16.08.07
Who's the modern equivalent of Betty Page?

In what way?

In terms of at-the-time popularity for certain reasons? In terms of life, history, and legend? Or, who in a few decades will wear a devil costume on lunchboxes sold to grown men?

iamus
02:02 / 16.08.07
If you can answer that last question I'll be impressed.

And also a little scared.

Saint Keggers
02:02 / 16.08.07
In the whole modern pinup model fame sort of way. The closest I can think of is Dita Von Tease.

Papess
02:04 / 16.08.07
I think you may be right, Venger.

Papess
02:05 / 16.08.07
In other words, that would be my guess.

This Sunday
02:07 / 16.08.07
Yeah, Dita Von Teese is a good way to go, at least in terms of frank imitation. (Useless factoid #12 in a continuing series: back in my youth as a starving arts student one of my first professional gigs was designing corsets for Dita Von Teese.)

But that is kinda like the modern-day Elvis being a really, really good Elvis impersonator who's just sharpened the edges and polished up the finish.

Saint Keggers
02:14 / 16.08.07
Yeah, thats what I was thinking. Im not a fan of Dita. I dont know why.

Happy Dave Has Left
02:21 / 16.08.07
'Lo folks.

Saint Keggers
02:22 / 16.08.07
