I think Fred's five people suggestion is a very good one. Pick five similar subjects who each have a problem they want solving, and then via PM arrange which subject you will actually do the working for.

That way, the subjects will not know who specifically the working was for until after the fact.

I also think that doing a working for someone who has already been for the job interview is not as sensible as doing a working for someone who is about to go for the interview, but that's just me and my way.

Here's the only problem I can foresee: 5 people going for job interviews, at least 3 are bound to get callbacks/ possible jobs (with or without a *coincidence*). So than it would be almost impossible to verify that we made a difference at all. Maybe if the 5 people were all going for the same job... And had the same qualifications... Or maybe I'm being a little too analytical.

It's one thing to work mundanely with people with whom you disagree. If you think they're genuinely doing harm, you can challenge them, and if not you can choose to keep your mouth shut to preserve a professional relationship. But entering into a magical working relationship, getting involved in a project which manifests real effects from thoughts, with someone whose thoughts are that profoundly affected by a paradigm which is inextricably bound up with antisemitism, bigotry, hate... I wouldn't do it, to put it mildly. And I wouldn't volunteer to let that person affect my life in any way.

Just expressing an opinion. Everyone else can do as they see fit.

Now that areshole boy has outed himself, I can say that I've always thought this project was bullshit anyway. Things like this are always impossible to co-ordinate, the best way to do it is via PM, but then you don't get to show off how TEH MagickZ you are. He doesn't seem to have listened to anything anyone else said, and generally has the critical acumen of a dead amobea. My alarm bells started ringing with the uncritical acceptance of Otherkin, and went up a notch with his proposal that V for Vendetta change the world.

I think you could probably find all the old threads via 'lith searches on Google, with "The Fetch" as a search term, if you haven't had enough claw-my-eyes-out-with-a-spoon moments today. Though weirdly, they are really longwinded, intense and indecipherable as well - "well, I'd never have guessed!"

It was one of those threads that gave us the classic "of course, Nietchze was a Jew".

If you do a google search on "the fetch" and "Barbelith" you'll also find his cached rants on Guerilla News Network asserting that he was Quote "liquidated" from Barbelith by Pro-Zionists who apparently follow him around causing trouble for him on the net. Also, and perhaps more worryingly, he's still advising people who are interested in his ideas to use Barbelith as a resource.

Since i am back on the board and intend to post i should first apologise for my outburst in this thread. I used the c word without thought and also another c word without thought to what social group that may offend.

My excuse at the time was that i was angry, which really upon reflection is no excuse at all, my other excuse was that barbelith was becoming a fascist state, and that just isnt true.

So i am sorry for my behaviour and apologise to all those i offended. In particular i apologise to mordant as she more than anybody else has been more tolerant of me and my presence on this forum.
