Though I bet most everyone's seen it already. Nice TARDIS crash landing, no?

So. There’s a whole ‘spoiler gallery’ and a spoilery news item on the official BBC site now, and proper spoilerzzzzzzz are starting to pop up in the papers and on OG and stuff, so I thought I’d just annoy everyone by mentioning that there *is* a special thread here specifically for the discussion of pre-broadcast spoilers. If you want, like. I'm just saying. I'm not the boss of you. etc etc

Also! BBC7 are broadcasting The Chimes of Midnight this week - starting tonight, ie Saturday - and if you haven’t heard it before, then you may be interested to know that it’s absolutely fucking brilliant. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without it, in fact.

Well, as there are no preview tapes, it's not posssible for anyone to spoil any more than the papers and the RadioTimes and the BBC already have.

As you will. It wasn’t a snark, and it wasn’t specifically directed at anyone in particular, cube. Just noting that both the BBC gallery and the news item now have yer actual spoiler warnings on them - which is to say, mmmmmaybe people will be avoiding them, and so that mmmmaybe there are going to be details contained therein, and in anything else that leaks out over the next week or so, that would provide the perfect opportunity to use a separate thread that’s specifically for discussion of spoilers. That’s all.

Believe it or not, the main point of my posting was just to Eeeeee! over The Chimes Of Midnight. If you can’t listen to it, then buy it. If you can’t afford to buy it, I’ll burn you a copy. It’s pretty fab stuff.

Sorry, not taken as such. Me, I've tried to avoid just about everything since finding out I wouldn't get a preview, as I want to experience it properly, without "cheating", for once (got to have something to look forward to next Saturday). I know the basics, but will be avoiding most of the rest of the info. I think this thread has done pretty well at letting us make our own decisions.

There's a new fake website up now. This one's for the British Rocket Group - probably not the same British Rocket Group that used to be run by Professor Bernard Quatermass, but you never know.

There's a speech on the site from Prime Minister Harriet Jones and some other stuff which may contain spoilers...

As the Doctor Who US thread is starting to get bogged down with Season 2 details, I thought I'd find this and drag it back to the front page.

Somebody over on the US topic estimated that the new season would begin around April 29th. According to trusted info-source, Outpost Gallifrey , the first vanilla DVD set is to be released on May 1st and will include "The Christmas Invasion" and "New Earth." If the new season were to launch at the late stage guessed at above, then there would be a ridiculously small wait for the DVD, and consequently, either the first episode of the season would be missed, as people wait for DVDs, or the DVDs would be overlooked. I doubt that the Beeb want either of these things to happen.

So, using my Question like detective skills, it might be safe to assume that the new season will start on either April 15th, or the Saturday after. Not long to go now!

Outpost Gallifrey has been informed that a press launch for series two is, in fact, scheduled for March 28 in Cardiff.

So... keep those ears open next week, I guess.

Shall we have a new thread for the new series? it would seem like a good idea...
