the idea that because Grant Morrison's a bit weird and deep, right?", that argument can be used to justify any reading of the text whatsoever.

More a suggestion that that's where Grant was going because of his being a 'bit weird', but yeah, you're not far off, admittedly.

And, y'know, disagreeing with yr opinions doesn't make someone a backslapping arsehole.

No, but repeatedly harping on those disagreements has a tendency to make you look like an asshole. I have a feeling you're not, though, so I'd like to leave it at that.

I have commented on other stuff, though, but I've yet to find something truly meaty theme-wise that I want to get stuck into. For me, the exciting things about We3 are it's density, spectacle, experimentation with the form and the fact that it's a rollicking good read.

Yeah, you have. A good deal of that was likely me venting and wanting to take the piss out of something, which amounted to a lot of unnecessary shit. Apologies to the Barbe-board at large, for what it's worth.

And I don't believe you're really Bjork.

But I do, and that's what really matters, isn't it?

Omigodthatpreviewistheshit.

I used to hate Quitely. I always thought the way he drew women's faces made them look like men, and the men's faces always looked like they were constipated... but grudging respect began with his work on Authority, grew with New X-Men, and now with this I am prepared to bow at his feet, as so many have done before.

And of course Morrison is gawd. How does he come up with this shit?

* * *

Triplet, it looks to me like it's definitely fire from the choppers overhead... We3 are yelling at the rabbits to run so they won't get hurt, but the poor bunnies are just too startled and they don't move fast enough, and...

(*sniff*)... Fiiiiiverr!

Quitely is a god, no doubt about it. His official temple and internet devotion sites soon to be opened...

>> "A University of Florida scientist has created a living 'brain' of cultured rat cells that now controls an F-22 fighter jet flight simulator. Scientists say the research could lead to tiny, brain-controlled prosthetic devices and unmanned airplanes flown by living computers."

>> BOW BEFORE YOUR CYBERNETIC RATJET MASTERS

LOL!!! This is amazing.

But can the rat cells be implanted into rats who can then be taught how to assemble a jet engine in just under 12 hours?

And will these jets refuse to fly at any altitude above 3 cm and will they flee to the nearest burrow if startled?

I live for the day when I can call Animal Control and complain about a ratjet infestation. I keep boarding up their holes, but they just cut open new ones with their twin 20mms...

So, okay, the dog is learning about what it is to be a moral being. But I wouldn't want to base a philosophy class on it.

That has to be the best comic I've read since discovering Gon. So innovative, fresh, kinetic and....does anyone else love the fact that Morrison's started to apply his post-modern sensibilities to the page itself as opposed to the story? I'm really digging on the comics-tech thing, and, judging by the layouts for Classified, we can expect more of the same next week. Well, perhaps not quite as bizzare.

Sure, I love Astonishing, but I really crave books that remind me of exactly why I read comics instead of sitting around in front of the TV. We3 is one of those.
