One of the things occurring to me about the evil Beast theories... Henry would be my vote for "most likely to get really bitter and turn evil"; he seems to have a need for attention and love that's just not being fulfilled. His ex-girlfriend dumped him with a conversation that included the word "bestiality", he's made some subtle romantic overtures towards Emma (who's in love with his best friend), he's continually "devolving", as Nova put it, and this is a guy who's been a former Avenger, not to mention having just figured out how to save Earth's dominant species from extinction. Gotta smart some, being so magnificently underappreciated. (Also, circumstantially, Ultimate X-Men's Beast has a massive insecurity complex, and Millar and Morrison often overlap conceptually).
And I get the feeling that Cassandra is actually Martha, and not Ernst. Martha seems to have that meta-awareness attributed to Cassandra. Or maybe Cass is actually No-Girl, in disguise. |
