Yay! My new desk still has net access! (Actually, come to think of it, I'm not sure why I was worried... I wouldn't be able to do my job properly if it didn't.)

That Nedagotchi rocks... Glasgow reminded me of the old bits of Toronto: grimy, stone, and built by Scots in the 19th c. I'll have to go back and spend more than a day there, since it's where my great-grandparents were picked up off the streets and orphanages and shipped over to Canada...

My aunty lives in Glasgow and the only thing I got was 2 t-shirts. One says IMASTOTER! and the other AWAEYAGOYEMUGYE! I dont wear the for fear they're secret codes meaning 'beat the crap out of my nephew'

Ah, funny slogans. Saw a VW camper van last week with a sticker reading "I beat up four hippies and all I got was this lousy camper van". I chuckled.

What's red and orange and looks good on hippies? Fire

3 story apartment building. Hippies live on the 1st floor, punk rockers live on the 2nd floor, and skinheads live on the 3rd floor. There's a giant earthquake. Who survives?

Skinheads. They were at work.

How many punks does it take to change a lightbulb? 3. One to stand on the chair trying to pit it in, one to kick the chair from under him, and the third to yell "Anarchy!".

How many Ska kids does it take to put in a lightbulb? Three. One to stand on the chair, one to knock the lightbulb out of his hand and one to shout "Pick-it-up-pick-it-up-pick-it-up."

Felt quite nostalgic for the jolly Glasgow banter there, listening to the Nedagotchi, toksik.

Sweet Fanny Adams on the tv, I'm off to put a dvd on.

Saint Keggers
21:02 / 25.09.03
Who's Fanny Adams?

Mourne Kransky
21:07 / 25.09.03
She is a legendary British woman who gave her name to a euphemism, sharing as she does the initials F.A. (for Fuck All).

All I have to entertain me on British tv tonight is an endless litany of "Hutton", "Hoon" and "It wisnae me Guv, honest". Time for Children of Dune.

I'm a bit tired, cos I stayed up until the middle of the afternoon tidying up and waiting for someone to come and look at our spare room. Of course, when I eventually phoned to find out where she'd got to, I was told she'd left a voicemail message on my phone saying she didn't want it anymore. I really must remember to check my voicemail occasionally.

Yeah, we don't get beer at work. Well, except on New Year's Eve, and that's ages away.

Less than 100 days away, and more exciting than Christmas.

Today I'm going to stay with my brothers in Edinburgh for a wee whiley. In fact, of late, Iv been speaking almost soley to my brothers- my sisters seem to have rejected me as a one-of-them. I think theyv got all sticky-together-ooh-we-have-coordinated-baby-making-schedules-y. So rather than a gathering of brothers, maybe i should see it as a gathering of the childless. Then i wont feel so manly.
