Night all. I need all the sleep I can get, for doing not much, you know. Jack D- the army? Dearie dearie me. Sorry. My brother and me had a very long conversation yesterday, about how we had never known non-arseholes to join the army. Until he remembered one guy, who he described as "truly lovely". Perhaps my brother is not as straight as i'd thought. Which reminds me- playing scrabble a while ago, my parents told me that "bi" is definetely not a word. Interesting...

2 1/2 years active duty, just got out of inactive duty (no drills but they can call you if there's a war) in April.

I spent 4 months in Kuwait. My unit, the 3rd Infantry division would go there about once a year. As a matter of fact I saw quite a bit of my old unit on the tv during the war.

I signed up because I had just got out of highschool, and didn't have enough money for college. And all the males in my family have been Navy all the way back to my great-grandfather.

I had a friend who was in the US Marines on his inactive last time it looked like Iraq was gonna kick off again (but didn't quite). Poor guy was terrified. Though last I heard he was thinking of joining up again.

I thought Kuwait was tons of fun, although most of the other soldiers hated it. The superiors were a hell of a lot nicer to us since we had live ammo sometimes, and the place got so hot (we were there in the summer) 140 degrees sometimes, that we did little actual work. Got to go to Kuwait city a few times which was fun. And my mom sent me lots of comic book care packages while I was there. And we got extra hazardous duty pay while there even though everything was relatively peaceful at the time.

Nope, I'm done, they can't call me back again. I'd never go back, me and the Army were an awful mix, and I'm lucky not to be in a military prison somewhere. I must have spent the last year of my active duty scheming and blackmailing to get out with an honorable discharge instead of getting kicked out.

Nope, It's not mine. Its for two friends I've know since my college days. One of them got a job in Florida with Electronic Arts and so they've had to put a rush on everything. So they're moving and Im loosing my model for the Empress tarot card!!! (insert pic of that muppet who's alwasy bashing his head against the piano)
