The Return Of Rothkoid
00:20 / 12.09.03
Covered in beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

I'm currently listening to The Number Of The Beast while having a discourse on suicide and Freddie Prinze (Jnr and Sr.) with my coworkers. That and Ronn Moss, the man with the oddest-shaped head in soap-opera.

The number of the bees? ("Let he that hath understanding reckon the number of the bees, cos there's fucking loads of 'em.")

Squirrels'd do at a pinch.

I've always though Ronn Moss would make the perfect gunslinger if they ever made a movie version of Stephen Kings Dark Tower series.

Did everyone suddenly go to bed????

I haven't.

But then I never post on these Late Shift threads, anyway; I never know what to say.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

I suddenly decided I should actually do some work. Bad idea.

Work!!! (to be read like Frankenstein say "Fire!!")

Hi Cass..How are you doing? (he says allowing him/her the opportunity to ramble on...thus getting over the I dont know what to say complex) Hell neither do I but that never stops me.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Go on, Cass... it's easy. Just talk about parrots or badgers or bees or something.

The Return Of Rothkoid

I was sidetracked by work. And the feeling that I'm getting an ulcer. And trip excitement. And rock.

That sounds just like how I imagine the lyrics to most of Tenacious D's lyrics will end up in 40 years.

I just couldn't think of anything witty. Still can't.

While parrots (arr!), badgers and bees all have their relative merits, I'm afraid that the only animals currently taking up my attention are spiders. I have no particular problem with spiders (British ones are generally infinitely preferable to flies) but I don't like them in my hair. And at least one of them stormed SAS-like onto my head as I was fumbling for my key under the porch twenty minutes ago. And now my scalp itches. I know there's nowt there, but...

Aaaanyway, I've booked my flight and accomodation for New Orleans and I've received my first passport. I'm beginning to think my trip may actually happen.

Hang on, let me just get an ashtray and another bottle of Newcastle Brown. I'm going to be here for a while yet.

But Maz; you're plush and huggy. You need no witticisms. Me, I rely on all the smart-arsedness I can use. (Incidentally; I know I've got a msg from you I have to answer, but haven't been able to log into Friendster to get to it.)

Newkie brown! Ah, how I miss ye. I'm now into Tooheys' Old (same as it ever was) and the Malt Shovel Brewery's James Squire Amber Ale, which tastes lovely. I overindulged somewhat before a celebratory greek meal for a friend of mine, but it's great stuff. Could be had tonight, when I go swing dancing. Hmm.

Preoccupied, too. Damn worrying... not helpful.

A couple weeks ago, I found a baby spider, spinning a web down from my hair. I freed it, and then about five minutes later found another one, then a third. I must've walked into a web. They were so cute, and tickly.

Hi 'koid, I haven't talked to you for fucking ages which is damned harsh. Yeah, my previous excitement is now becoming a low-level tumult of sheer terror. The whole possibility seems drastically unreal. I jst had a conversation with the taxi driver on the way home about his trip to Vegas: about coming in by plane at night across the pitch-black desert and suddenly being confronted by the lights of the city out in the middle of nowhere. I kind of feel that that's how this trip is going to be like for me.

Aw, thanks Rothky. I do try to retain my warmth and fuzziness. And I miss you, darn it. But I have to go to bed, I face the youth again tomorrow morning. How they're so focused at nine a.m. I've no idea. Huggles and love to all.

(shoulda cont. from my last post...)
Ahh..real brew..How I miss you. My last beeresque was Molson Dry last weekend. Not a pretty picture. The Wednesday before that was Guinness which I had a lunch in my favorite local irish pub, Hurleys, along with a Hurley burger (which is the mother of allthings burger) and a slice of chocolate cheesecake. I had ordered the Bailey's Irish Creme cheesecake (one friend once described it as sex on a plate. I offered to demonstrate the difference between said cake and actual sex on a plate but for some reason she would have nothing to do with it...odd.) Tonight I'm enjoying the remenaints of a bottle of pearwine. It has developed quite a nice array of characteristics after being open a few days...

Mazarine: isn't your name a kind of shade of purple. Are you soem sort of 'Tickle Me Elmo', hence the vibration-plushy thang?

The spider was a common house spider, you know the ones who have poisonous venom which causes muscle-dissolving necrosis but their mandibles are too weak to break our skin. They're like a classic ineffectual alien sci-fi alien invasion story which I guess is kind of cute as long as you realise that they would if only they could...

I really need to pay closer attention to my posts. I have at least 5 typos (accomodation?!) and other errors. Still, better than my worst excesses of PMing while pilling ('cause you know, we're all like, friends, duuude). Not good.

I am going to smoke one and then crash. Hell, (BTW) is in Canada...in the worst way. GAWD...the eastcoast sux.

I am so terribly happy to be in a province that lets me buy wine and beer at my local convenience store. Not to mention the fact that I can smoke anywhere at all!

Bear, you been listening to those Snoop Dog records again before bed, I told ya 'bout that!

I now have a beautiful image of you crusing round South Central in a low-rider, wearing a hairnet, sipping gin and juice.
