Yeah the spoilers are crazy. I think people should probably try to steer clear of these spoilers. If they are true then there might be some surprises for some people- either way I think the arc is going to be very cool and exciting.

At first I didn't believe it- even when several people claimed to have seen an advance copy of New 146. But one person did give a fairly good run down of the issue and sounds convincing.

Reading this and that Uncanny preview, I'm becoming more convinced of something that a few of us suspected after the little "camping trip": that Xorn has another agenda and is grooming the Special Class to be his followers/team/brotherhood/acolytes...

As with most possible scenarios involving Xorn being sinister, I still don't get how this squares up with his interior monologue in the issue devoted to him (#127).

Yeah, the ?????? Rumor is flabbergasting to say the least, especially in light of Xorn's issue. Although, he does state straight away: "I would save every life IF I COULD." It also doesn't fit at all with his origin.

The rumor does smack of the last ditch wank hope of a fanboy, but stranger, much stranger, things have happened in this book.

Ah, and we only have to wait a few more days. Thanks, Labor Day!

I've read the rumor now. I think it's probably right. It fits in with everything really well. I don't think it's the same person informing Weapon Plus though. That much seems pretty obvious.

Think back to Xorn, in Quentin's death scene. "There is something in you that is like me."

OK well I've just read who Xorn is meant to be according to this rumour. There'll have to be some serious explaining to do if it's true.

This person must have undergone secondary mutation to explain the power differences.

But let's just say there original powers would explain why Esme drove away in a driverless taxi...

There *were* no power changes. Xorn never really healed anyone. Other than that, think about Xorn's powers. Think about how easy it would be for ____ to fake anything Xorn would theoretically be able to do.

Also, think about the helmet. Think about how the telepaths can't read his mind. It's not because he has a star for a brain. It's because...he's wearing a special helmet.

How'd this individual end up getting a Chinese prison built around'em, er what, thirty to forty years ago? It smacks of the worst type of X-wank. The old "A-ha! All this time you thought I was this new person, but I am in fact, ME! IN DISGUISE! Ha Ha!" crap.

Flux I suspect there are new powers given that secondary mutation has been such a major theme in NXM.

This explains how Sage's memory was erased too.

The Chinese prison will take some explaining though.

However, remember that this person also exhibited another power in his early years, which if accentuated through secondary mutation could provide the basis for a plausible explanation.

Oh and remember that Xorn's monologue in 127 was really a letter he was writing Xavier and not purely what he was thinking.

So that could still fit into this new rumor.

The only information that would be hard to fit into the new rumor would be the stuff that Emma picked up from that key. But she herself thought that it would take hours to do a psychic reading on the key- afterall she is not a natural psychometric (that was her sisters power) but instead she was able to read it instantly. Perhaps they had had another psychic imprint false data onto the key before hand??

C'mon. Neither Xorn nor the person who he probably is has psi powers.

Seriously, there's probably no secondary mutation, nor does their need to be. Everything Xorn has done has been stuff the other guy can do. (Hint: Xavier was never truly healed.)

I have no idea what the answer to the Chinese prison thing may be, but perhaps the old villain is simply disguised as Xorn, and the guy we met in the prison never actually came to the school.

Those of you who hate that it is probably the old villain - don't be lame. This is totally awesome, and it makes perfect sense to do this. It's the most exciting thing that's happened in this comic in well over a year AND YOU KNOW IT.

i read the issue before i scanned it and was pretty shocked -- although i guess if i attended other msg boards more often i would have been less so. at any rate, as far as the chinese prison, isn't it possible that there is/was in fact a xorn, but at some later point this other person replaced him?

The person Xorn probably is does - or at least did - have psi powers. Check if you don't believe me.

As for Xorn's powers well no wonder they've been loosely defined. As for Xavier never being truly healed, yeah I've read the spoilers but that part is truly lame. I suspect Morrison will pull it off regardless.

If said person did replace a real Xorn at some point when do you supose that was - between the annual and when Scott went to find Xorn in Tibet? Although I would rather suspect it was said person all along and Emma picked up false memories from that key.
