Short notice, I know, as ever, but just to let London Barbeloids know that Orr and I (as Beauty and the Bitch) are appearing with Dusty Limits and Friends at the Battersea Barge, (www.batterseabarge.com) tomorrow evening (Thursday 26th).

This is a proper old-fashioned cabaret night with velvet curtains and camp humour and songs old and new and stand up and everything, and I imagine any fans of music/comedy would enjoy it, so please come along if you fancy it. No need to post your apologies if not: this is simply for info and I'll bump it occasionally so that people can read it.

The Battersea Barge is a barge in Battersea, at 9 Nine Elms Lane, nearest tube Vauxhall, and the tickets are £7/6 concs. The show starts at 7.30 and it is recommended that you book a table if you want to sit down and drink rather than stand up and drink. No booking fee or obligation applies and you pay when you get there.

Hope to see some or all there ...

Contact/booking info is:

Tel : 020 7498 0004

Email : info@batterseabarge.com

FYI, bumpity bump.

I always feel a bit guilty about posting these things in the Conversation but if I put them in Meetings no-one would ever see them. So after tonight I'm going to change the thread title to Barbe-Plug and people can mention anything they're doing that they'd like people to see, buy, participate in or come to, with a clear conscience.

So there.

Hey Whiskey!

This sounds ever so cool!

My piss poor excuse is that I don't have enough money to cover this otherwise I would be there with bells on! It sounds like a right laugh!

Good luck tonight! I hope you enjoy it, and if you're mad enough to do it again let us know, because if I've got the cash I'll be there!

Break a leg m'dear and let us know how you got on!

In good news - here's the review of the above (names have been changed to protect the innocent):

Beauty And The Bitch (Whisky Priestess and piano by Orr). WP, fabulous in (very short) red cocktail dress and red high-heeled shoes, sings the magnificently filthy 'Thanks For The Memory' (Priestess/Orr), recalling those on whose faces she has sat. Her performance is hilarious. Orr sings 'If I Were Gay And You Weren't Dead' (Orr, Toby Smith).

And more to the point, the comedy sketch show that I'm in is on this (July 20th) and next Sunday (July 27th) and Sunday 10th Aug and Monday 11th Aug) at 7.30 pm at the White Bear theatre in Kennington (nearest tube Kennington).

Please come, it's quite funny.

Hey Whisky, since I promised to come along to the next one, I will be doing my damnedest to get to the 11th Aug show, as every date before then is taken up with everything from a wedding through to Live Role Playing. And The White Bear's just down the road(ish) too.

Good Luck with the dates before then, and have a fabulous time reveling in accolades you justly deserve!

'Passion' by Amen, out on Positiva / EMI with brand new remixes in August (prolly late) this year.

Rush and buy 10 copies each...keep one, and take the other 9 back for full refund, it still counts in the chart placing!

Ta!

Buy my record.

It is good.

Songs on it will make you happy, when they don't make you cry out of loneliness and fear.

Subjects include particle physics, cosmology, serial killers, religion, horticulture, and love of both the requited and unrequited varieties.

Since today is new comics day in the UK, I ought to mention that you can now buy a JENNY EVERYWHERE minicomic containing 2 stories by myself and Nelson Evergreen from Gosh! Comics in London. £1.50, while stocks last! And you may be able to get them from Dave's Comics in Brighton as well.

I hope it all goes well for you and is well received by all and sundry! Whoohoo and other such excited noises!

I don't know whether to kill you or kiss you, Flyguy. Maybe a bit of both, ala The Hessian...

They're the ones you've already seen, Sax, but they're much better in the flesh, as it were. Honest they are. There's also a colour cover and some 'entertaining' blurb on the back.

You can also order one by PMing me or Nelson, again while stocks last (those of you who've ordered already, they're coming...).

Fly - what about Comic Showcase in Charing X Rd/Oxford? Did you already try & get them to distribute it or would it be worth a try?

Oh, and btw the comedy sketch thingy I'm in is called Clear and Present Rangers. I forgot to say that before.

I can highly recommend grant's album. It is the Joycore Bomb. (and yeah, I'll write you a better review when I have a chance...)

My next film project is actually inspired by an old thread in the Creation. Remember the lovecraftian weblogs? Well, I'm making a movie about the girl who moved in next door to Arthur:

http://elith.quietnoises.com

Feedback on the script (email good!) would be much appreciated - given that my constraints were non-dialogue and limited locations, that is.

Cheer at brutal murder in the guise of justice!

Gasp at shocking distortions of hindu mythology!

Dare to watch a sick old bastard masturbate into a human skull!

If anyone would like to assist (read: take over) my petition to ask California to quietly resign it's status as a state of the union and become a country to itself, I would be most appriciative.

Oh and here's to the principality of California!
~cough cough~
