Oh boy oh boy oh boy! I so wanted to start the new Late Shift Thread—so here it is! Welcome to late shift XV!

So, I watched the Nets sweep the Pistons. It was a pretty one-sided game, although the Pistons made a few spurts to get close. I played a little guitar while I watched the game--that was sweet. Smoked some pot and then I went and shot hoops for an hour and a half. Needless to say I'm feeling a little drained, but it is such a gorgeous evening here in Mooville: 22 degrees!

What are some of you people up to this Saturday night/ Sunday morning?

Well, after having a smoke and some more Dr. Pepper, I'm going to shave, smoke a joint, and then hit the shower--in that order. Yes, you too could benefit from the el Zilcho fitness and lifestyle program!

See you fine folks later.

Well, I'm about to hit the cafe for some breakfast. At 3pm. I'm feeling very good this morning. Am in a Yay Rothkoid Mood, which can be rare, but seems to happen a little more often in some parts of my life now.

It's good. All good.

Yay Rothkoid!

I think you and el Zilcho win the 'most far off time zone' awards. Life is pretty damn good here right now too. I blame the 23/5 we just passed yesterday.

Hey, I'm getting in on the ground floor of this one. It's one am and I have a cold.

Indeed, Yay Rothkoid! I'm still up, I haven't had any sitting down and writing time in a while, and I've got a bunch of notes all over the place that need consolodating.

The Return Of Rothkoid
05:07 / 25.05.03
Yeah, baby!

Back from breakfast and currently noodling around on the guitar. It's raining, but still goodness pervades. Wow. I hope this lasts all week.

Big huggles for the noodling Rothkoid, to help preserve this most excellent mood. What did you have for breakfast, dear?

The Return Of Rothkoid
05:29 / 25.05.03
Mmm, farmhouse breakfast. Eggs, toast, bacon and sausage. And one of the eggs was a double-yolker. That's meant to be good luck, isn't it? I sincerely hope so.

it's only 11:30pm here, do i even qualify for the late shift? i'm at work, a little internet cafe that's pretty much empty at this hour, save a hard-core christian (you can always tell by reading the t-shirts), a possible pimp and a few nice japanese boys. in about an hour, i'm going to go out for a few drinks to remind myself that moving to London is a great reason for signing up to work 13 consecutive days.

Mazarine
05:37 / 25.05.03
Okay, I've been awake too long, so I'm gonna stop. Affection and huggles to all, I'm sure I'll be awake again in six or seven hours.

Whoo-hoo breakfast and guitar!

I’m envious--that breakfast sounds fab! I think I need a bite to eat.

It’s 12:56 am here and I had the best fuckin’ shower—man it was sweet. Now I’m sittin’ here with all the windows of the house wide open, and I’m breakin’ a sweat from typing. We’re not used to nights like this ‘round here yet!

I too have been trying to recover from a cold, Qalyn. It’s not been too much of a bother, but it has been hangin’ around for a few days. Hey—is it a cold that you’re supposed to starve or a fever?

So, I rolled a joint, shaved, smoked the joint, showered, and then I put the sprinkler on the lawn—gotta’ get the grass lookin’ good. I also taped episode six (?) of The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, as it’s been playing lately on PBS: I hadn’t seen it for years--man, Beeblebrox’s (sp?) extra head didn’t come even close to standing the test of time!

And now for your enjoyment, here's a picture of my t-shirt.

Needless to say, it's one I mostly wear around the house and not out very much...speaking of shirts, I wonder what the Xtian would think?

Well, it's about 1:30 now, and it's finally startin' to cool off a bit. Still, I was outside smoking (instead of eating) in sandals, shorts, and hoodie. The sky is so clear and dark--there is only a slight wisp or two of clouds: gorgeous!

Nights like this make me want to head downtown to skateboard, but it's a bit of a drive, and I'm all ready a pretty played out from all the b-ball action earlier. Perhaps if it is a nice tomorrow night...

10:01 / 25.05.03
So it's 4:50 am now. About half an hour ago the sky was magnificent! Deep blues and greens. And there was a sliver of an orange moon coming up over the horizon. Real nice.

So, I thought it’d be real sweet to follow Rothkoid's lead and go for a three am breakfast. Except, I have to stop by a cash machine before I can visit the local 24hr greasy spoon. Gotta' buy more cigs too, as I'm all out. I get to the drive through cash machine, and it's "out of service." OK, I'll go to the branch down the way—same thing there. OK, I'll go to a different brand of bank: "Can't complete transaction." Shit—no cash, no breakfast, and no smokes.

Well, I drive back home, and scour the house for coins, and end up rollin' dimes, but I only had enough for smokes and some "breakfast like" scarf and barf from the 7-11. It was, well, edible, but I’m still envious of that wicked soundin’ breakfast!

Soon, eZ sleep.

Eep. I'm not quite so cool: I mistyped. I was going for breakfast at 3 in the afternoon. Thanks to a rather lazy morning. Now, though, I'm doing a couple of exercises while a delayed telecast of Eurovision plays. So far, Turkey rocked and the German entry is terrifying me.

Rather pointed nil points to the UK entry. Europe loooves us...

here it's lunchtime, but right now i am having my breakfast (BLT and ham sandwiches and two cans of coke) in my office while typing this having just been on an amaaazing Pagan Pride Parade round Holborn (in London). Loads of drumming, dancing green people and hordes of bemused tourists.

The Return Of Rothkoid
12:48 / 25.05.03
Well, I got bored and wandered off. I've been busily amusing myself with slightly off versions of Tom Waits songs, found here. Mmm, "I Wish I Was In New Orleans"...

I'm awake again. I tried to fib and say that I came to bed at eleven, and was called on my bald-faced lie. So here I am.

I dreamed of chocolate chip cookies (both white chocolate and milk chocolate), still warm, last night, and that my fiance and I were sitting around loitering in a grocery store while a clerk tried to get us to leave. I think someone accused us of stealing lasagne on our way out.

It would not be an unhappy time to loiter in the cereal aisle of a 24-7 grocery store and hang around. Perhaps read some ladies magazines, and learn more details than necessary about genitals.

The Return Of Rothkoid

Well, I'm about to get into the shower before I go to bed. Because it's 1:11am here now. And I'm still feeling pretty nifty.

I'm feeling shite so the evening's liver-bashing commences now, at precisely 4.45 in the afternoon/evening. Let's call it evening, shall we? It makes me sound less alcoholic-like. So anyway i'm now drinking beer and eating a bagel.

Wish I'd insisted on logging in to Barbelith when I got last night instead of letting my far more active mate dick around in the chatrooms all night long. Then I could have wowed everyone with my 4:30AM finish to the evening, fuelled only by humble alcohol - you'll just have to take my word for it.

Have not been awake very long today, I always go for the sleeping based hangover cure when available, but still feeling a bit rough. Think I'll follow BP's sound example and open the large bottle of San Miguel that's taking up valuable room in my fridge. (It's definately evening by now)

I think the Zilchster may have jumped the gun somewhat on this one - a mere seven pages seems fairly temperate for a late shift...

And how are we all? I am off to bed soon, but it's always nice to catch up. Am listening to "Werewolves of London", in tribute to Warren Zevon....

sTe - Alf Poier was Austria's entrant to the eurovision song contest. He is a scary man. Oh my God but he is a scary man. Observe:

Doch wer mehr über Tiere wissen wü muß Biologie studiern
Oder sich im Anschluß auf meiner Homepage informieren

I'd like to meet his tailor...

Alf Poier was quite frightening. He had an astounding amount of energy for someone so elderly.

So..Im watching A&E Biography of Buffy TVS and they have an interview with James (Spyke) Marsters.... It was very disconcerting to hear hi without his brit accent... I think he even got his american accent wrong.
But damn it was nice to see Anthony Stewart Head as the Coffee Guy again.

Taster's Choice or Gold Blend - leave it long enough and it grows stuff either way.

It's been an interesting evening - out with Flyboy, Illmatic and Kit-Cat Club. Because we are a clique. Soon we shall start threads and only acknowledge each other. Oh yes.

And they will all be about The Matrix Reloaded.

Meanwhile, after Alf Poier, I am now listening to Mendelssohn - anyone got a good Midsommernachtstraum overture? Baby's hurting over here...

THAT link is one of the most frightening things I have Ever seen on the internet. I fell of my chair, no really, I thought that only happened in stories, but there was some kind of physical reaction jolt that threw me to the ground.

Still it's good to be informed about these things. I'm just grateful I turned down the invitation the traditional Eurovision pizza & beers night, I felt bad this morning, but it could have been so much worse. (Apologies to any scary ginger bearded Austrian's who've potentially got their hands doen their throats who may be listening)

My brain has gone to mush. I can't keep up an idle conversation on Eurovision... I'm feeling far too fidgety and ohdeargod I have no cigarettes with me. Does anyone else feel their addictions physically call to them, it's an escalating spiral of doom I tell you. The addictions are in control of my life.

Oh god and I want pizza now.

Try downloading the video form the Official Site. Ah, Tuvalu. How we love your sunny Interwebnet meadows...

I spent Eurovision with friends, one of them hotfoot from playing a doxie in an R&B video. It's a long way from the Haus Academy, I can tell you. Still, crashed at her place and got to read Promethea vol.3, or The Caballah For Children and Terrapins, as it shall henceforth be known.
