I really want a pink t-shirt but they just don't make them in my size. Plus it would have to be in varying shades of pink as otherwise I'd just look like Godzilla-Barbie.

Tangentally, this reminds me of long car journeys as a kid. In a small village just outside Bath one of the locals had painted his entire house coral pink and as we passed it every time we went on holiday we'd then spend the rest of the journey competing to spot another. Happened more often than you'd think. They were nice to drive past, but I think the effect would begin to grate if you lived next to one.

i dont own any pink clothing, unless you cound souvenier underpants left by the ladies ::wink::

but really, i have some maroon shirts, but nothing pink.

i do, however, own a TON of shiney shirts, in various colors and styles.

Aah, you're a shiny shirt man, I know a few of those.

When I was seven a boy in my class lived in a coral pink house and I thought it was wonderful. I used to go home and ask my mum why our house wasn't pink- I was obsessed with the colour and it seems to have manifested itself in to the ridiculous amount of pink clothes I own.

any long sweaters and leg warmers anna?

and yeah, i am a shiney shirt guy, although what that means besides me owning and wearing things that 15 year olds also wear is beyond me...

i only actually own 3 pairs of pants, 1 jeans, 1 khakis, and 1 dress slacks, am i strange?

Tryphena Absent
02:42 / 19.04.03
No long sweaters but I do have leg warmers.

I do find your lack of clothing a little disturbing... my attention span's far too short to own teensy amounts of clothes. I'm going, gooooddddnnnniiiggghhhttt everyone!

i have since left work, played some video games with old friends, and sat around feeling like a pile of shit for 2 hours at someones house waiting for a girl i like a bit to much to be rady to leave, because she had been drinking, and im such a nice fucking guy.

now im home, and my soon to be ex gf* has cut off the bulk of her hair, not in a crazy way mind you, but in a shaved most of my head kind of way.

*this is a long story that boils down to a mutual loss of faith in our relationship but we are stuck in the house together until the lease is up in late may/early june

The Return Of Rothkoid
13:19 / 20.04.03
Well, I just got back from an afternoon of no Death In June, lots of beer, a screening of Ripley's Game and a text-message from Latvia.

And I just ate a Cornetto.

So things are good.

20:03 / 20.04.03
if i got a text message from latvia i would likely be taken in by tom ridge for being a spy.

today so far has been better, i drove a hung over friend to find their car, which was fun, then i went to the museum alone and wandered through a few million years of history.

lastley, i purchased ammunition and soda pop along with bag of parakeet food and now i am home.

Mazarine
20:23 / 20.04.03
Just got back from my parent's house. Passover was ridiculous, as both my fiance and his mother were extremely ill behaved. Then went to my nephew's first birthday party, and was once again astounded by how much cuter he is than other small children. Am exhausted. Oh, and I finally saw Faster, Pussycat, Kill! Kill!

I've had much worse weekends.

So: it's late. I've never posted on a late shift thread before, and I'm pissed......
what's everone else up to?

Tryphena Absent

I feel a bit sick and I'm reading Mary Wollstonecraft... yuk. Hi my darlings!

Mazarine
00:42 / 21.04.03
Oh god, honey, Wollstonecraft? Sympathies, sugar. How's your evening?

Tryphena Absent
00:54 / 21.04.03
Okay, had fun at a friend's house- don't tell anyone but I was playing trivial pursuit all night and I just couldn't get the damned green wedge!

Jub
00:56 / 21.04.03
what's green again? science and nature?

telyn
01:00 / 21.04.03
I just remembered how bad this fridge at my parents house is again. I shall not be finishing that yoghurt...

Why is Wollstonecraft bad? I'm guessing some theoretical text but don't know what.

Tryphena Absent
01:01 / 21.04.03
Yeah, usually i get them but the questions were from the early 80's and I kept getting them wrong! How have your days/evenings/nights been?

Mazarine
01:01 / 21.04.03
See, with me it's the fuckin' orange wedges. Sports. Why, oh why must there be sports in trivial pursuit? Fun game though, but it takes so damned long to finish a game if you don't have the right sort of players.

Jub
01:05 / 21.04.03
Mazarine, I'm so with you on the Sports thing. Bastards. And it's doubly annoying when apparently the quation is so easy, "oh come on man, you must know who the numer 12 was in the 1974 semi-final against uraguay was - it's sooooo easy". Er... no, it's not.

This evening, I've been getting drunk with my housemates J&M. Have you been doing anything more interesting than reading about MW Anna?

And Mazarine? Aren't you on the other side of the atlantic? What time is it there?

Tryphena Absent
01:16 / 21.04.03
Well I'm kind of keeping one eye trained on Fanfiction.net and the other on MW's Vindication of the Rights of Woman.

Mazarine
01:20 / 21.04.03
Lamentably west, yes. Just killing time before I go to bed. I should be reading Euripides, but I'm not. I'm futzing.

Mazarine
01:23 / 21.04.03
I too futz on fanfiction.net, and I had a hell of a time getting through Vindication. Nay so late here, really, but I need a great deal of sleep to make it through the day.

telyn
01:24 / 21.04.03
What a cool word. Futzing. As in idling away time, or something more specific?

Tryphena Absent
01:27 / 21.04.03
Well I'm one of those freaks who actually swims through eighteenth century writing. I find it incredibly easy, far more compelling than most contemporary work, so it's fine really!

Mazarine
01:31 / 21.04.03
Entirely idling. In this case, idling while eating Italian ice to cool down, as it's actually warm.

telyn
02:11 / 21.04.03
I think I'm going to slink off to bed where it is warm for me. It was lovely + warm last week and now is rather less so. But icecream. Mmmm. Hungry!

Tryphena Absent
03:13 / 21.04.03
Oh, do you shoot?
Awkward dinner??
I'm still awake!

gravitybitch
03:28 / 21.04.03
Ahhh, but are you awake now?

It's not that late here - 9:30 pm - but I'm going to go to bed soon anyway. Need to be bright and shiny tomorrow morning for a meeting at work...

Tryphena Absent
03:42 / 21.04.03
Yeah but I'm going to sleep now because I'm meant to be in Notting fucking Hill at 1pm tomorrow.

My dad bought a Sharp TV and he got 8 lucky draw tickets. He bought the TV from Gain City at Block 102 Towner Road #01-253. The eight lucky draw tickets number runs from 162780 to 162787. I've just put these tickets into the box at Gain City Towner road. There's this date 12/8/03 written on top the box. The lucky draw results will be published in the Strait Times newspaper on 30/8/03. The lucky draw tickets are issued to commenmorate Gain City 22nd anniversary sale from 21/2 to 27/7/03. I hope to win a car so that I can give it to Joan. Joan has a sound like a man on the phone. Dunno if I'm asking too much for the wrong person. Oh great Gods of Barbelith, please help me!

Am here. It was a public holiday today and I worked. And that sucked. But I had chicken fettucine, and that did not. And now, I'm posting like I'm fucking lobotomised. Which puts us back in the realm of suck.
