I was going to be MODOK for Halloween a few years back by constructing a miniature of the little floating chair apparatus around my own head, and wearing all black from the neck down. Didn't get to it in time though.

Maybe this year!

I think I'm having the same kind of 'life quake' that glassonion had on first encountering Fantomas........

Make mine MODOK!

in dubbya dubbya eye eye reed richards worked behind german lines for oss, which after 1945 and the safe removal to the us of the reich's best minds in the field of rocket propulsion became cia. reed richards goes on to design the first space ship. COINCIDENCE? us war machine which i posted about just a minute ago is the only comic in my recent memory to have modok in it. he's a totally bitched-out kiling machine working for shield and doom blows him up just by looking at him. SYNCHRONICITY? glassonion's really not that bad a song. the vocal - that tough-hippy posh-scouser thing - really starts to soar towards the end whilst the rhythm punches ever stronger, and the lyrics are top kitchen-sink psychedeLia all the way. all the songs on that side are ace, go listen until you agree. 'would've been a better album if it was shorter' rubbish. DONKEYPUNCH? reports of the pupppy's health are good everyone, glad to hear it. CANNELONI?

Fecund's real name is not "Alan". It's "Skin-Rab".

And I think glassonion's a brill song: my fave Beatles no. at the tender age of 14.

Paul Hamilton'll probably be a big mover and shaker over there.

Again: I feel sorry for Millar.

Fecund's real name is not Alan, nor is it "Skin-Rab".

He is luxurient, however.

Did you know that the skillient MODOK built a battle-suit to support his head.

Make mine Marvel big-heads!

Big head slash, that'd be the best: MODOK, The Supreme Intelligence and the most well endowed of all - EGO THE LIVING PLANET.

The Leader sluts himself for all these guys, but, behind his back, they all laugh at his puny headhood.

Oh look:

Next week.

And Giant Man and the Wasp go at it, toe to toe, according to popcultureshock's front page.

But the question is: "is it literature....?"

I'll get back to you on that - for now I'm happy to stroke my enormous beard and pack my pipe brim-full of the finest, aromatic shag.....and meditate on this and other VITALLY IMPORTANT questions.

I HEART MOKOK!!!

I should keep up on these Ultimates threads. This is where all the best stuff is being discussed.

My brother loves MODOK so much that his email is ILoveModok. I found the figure on clearance and bought a whole bunch of them to use as little gifts to put on top of presents for the holidays. Everyone loves MODOK! Fun MODOK fact! One of Mark Waid's dream jobs is to write a short MODOK tale called "A Day in the Life of MODOK." It shows MODOK waking up, having the AIM scientists hosing him down while still wearing their crazy yellow outfits, trying to destroy his enemies, going back to bed, etc.

MODOK does rock. But what about Ms MODOK?

When did they make a MODOK toy?

moriarty

She prefers to be called MODAM (Mobile Organism Designed for Aggressive Maneuvers).

The infamous MODOK figure, with Brain Energy Blasts (basically, a missle in his forehead that pops out when you squeeze his head).

Oh gosh. That MODOK toy is PERFECT!

Wow. I want one.

Not only does it look perfect, but his head is all SQUISHY! It's yucky and way-cool!

Love the Ultimates, but despair of Millar.

Fly is very right: he's not a clever boy.

This week, his argument for Icke's fun, fun, fun extraterrestrials runs thus:

"They're not any weirder than TERRESTRIALS."

Great stuff.

And, much as he couldn't believe ANYTHING could top Unbreakable, it turns out Signs has done it; and now Shyalmalan is his favourite director ever.

We already know Millar doesn't have a lot of time for music, but, sadly, it seems he doesn't have much time for cinema either.

The Natural Way

In his most recent column, Millar prattles (again) about Icke, and puts forward the AMAZINGLY persuasive argument that Icke's beliefs aren't so weird when you consider that - HOO HAH! And here it comes! - that terrestrials are pretty weird in themselves (ergo: the Lizards walk among us). Thanks Mark.

And then he explains why Shyamalan is his fave director ever....

Check any of Millar's "arguments" for anything - they're always really crap.

Still, he's a nice bloke and I like his superheroes.

Tarunce.

Millar really is just a guy from down the pub inty?

He's not an intellectual. Or an occultist. Never in a band. And won't ever be lauded by the 'shining ones'.

But his Ulteeze is slappy as Rodice might say and as you say too and that'll do.

I used to diss the Mill when he didn't live up to what I wanted him to be. Then, like Tesco's prize winning stilton (2nd place), I matured and learned to love the lazy Moore-squito, for that is what he is.

Meaning he drinks pints of Alan Moore's blood he extracted during the period 1984-1988.

Canny write a colly for buckfast that bhoy.

Yep, that's why he's not a member of this distinguished comic-book off-spring board, but also why I appointedly read his weekly column at Comicbook Resources. Nice.
