I like the thread called "We come from exploding stars". Not really very revolutionary sounding, but cool for a tee...

Would an "I see dead people .. socially" T-shirt be extremely cool or extremely sad?

A friend used to have shirts printed for his band, big bold letters: "I hate every band in this goddamned town."

That's remained a favorite.

Ya, I was adding to the "your favorite band sucks" slogan with "(in my relative opinion)". The Onion was far from first to come up with that slogan.

Buddies with *no* sense of direction, clearly.

This thread is terrifying. I had completely forgotten about my "I see dead people. Socially" phase until just now.

Which makes its inevital revival *your* fault.

How about "Can I get a Bwa-ha-ha?"

I'll admit that I continue to own a White Zombie shirt because it says "I went to Hell and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" on the back.

Best story - a waitress in a burger joint come up behind me, makes me hold the shirt so she can see it. Then says: "Say, where is Hell, anyway? I think I been there."
Dead serious. Almost blew my lunch.

//Utterly off topic//

videodrome, I see you are from Cambridge, MA. You wouldn't happened to have ever run into an eccentric fellow name Tom Benson, would you?

//discussion may now continue//

I wouldn't mind a shirt that simply said:

plank.

Shit I forgot I suck at design. Must refrain from telling you everything that I hate about this... didn't even intend to do a picture when I started out, but got off track as can happen.

So should I scrap the whole picture concept & just go back to typography?

[Ratbuckets. How do I post this damn picture?]

i just wanna put in my hand for a shirt that just says "Theory Bitch" (taking out the pronunciation run-around) in an understated white on black, and then a barbelith icon on the back. such a beautiful label. and maybe on the long sleeve t it could have the slogan down the sleeve. mmm.

[swirling visions of the Barbelith fashion-line being introducing to the consuming public...fatbeards mince down runway aisles wearing our tees to growing applause, and a few embolisms on the part of more noncey fashion designers. Peter Jackson wearing the "pervy hobbit fancier" shirt gets a rave review nonetheless]

It occurs to me that both Flux and Haus have had a variety of name very much suitable for deployment as a logo...my absolute favorite would be Flux=Pleasure Orb, though.

Aesthetically, I tend towards minimalism, hence favoring the "plain text on black" idea for most stuff....
However, having looking at Fool's sigil, I was wondering if there would be any interest in creating shirts bearing other sigils...like say, the Peace Mango. [Further dancing visions of pairing fashion with some sort of magickal in-joke...]

I'd buy the lot of them if you set them up, dammit.

If you're looking for design ideas, Persephone... I kind of envisage MUSICSAVESLIVES printed as one word, in quite bold capitals, maybe with a Red Cross/First Aid symbol next to, below or above it (so maybe do it in white and red). Just a suggestion in case you don't have a plan already.

Meaning they'd roast you over a slow flame for dangerous tendencies in the direction of self-irony.

Except I suspect that it's all changed since I were dead.

Which would go well on a t-shirt, actually.

We're not doing that this week, are we? 'Cos I've got Revolutionary Internal Dynamics on Saturday morning, then Basic Coupe Management, and a toga party in the evening, and I really don't want to arrive late...
