Great job on that last panel, Cameron. You managed to capture that creepy look I get from all birds and made it even more sinister. Then again, I guess probing blue eyeballs are sort of a theme for this.

What's the release date again?

I'm really looking forward to blogging about this. Far too many shite glossy comics on the racks at the mo'

I second what Boboss said. I need respite from this ennui.

April 1st, boyos! Not a prank!

I'm looking forward to you blogging about it too, Boboss, Mindless Ones is the best comics analysis on the net. I'm still up for an interview if you guys want...

Actually, this close to release I'd like to send through some updated questions anyway.

Will the usual 21 Questions format do, Cam?

Sure, go for it!

I am so excited for this comic. I just reread the original, and man, that is just some great storytelling. Even though I knew what was coming and when, I was still on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see what Grant and Cameron cooked up this time!

Will be picking this up tomorrow (England innit), and very likely posting about it on Friday. We're gonna give it the proper Mindless treatment.

Reread Seaguy vol 1 last night in anticipation!

I will be reviewing it on my blog also, I thought, but actually...

Actually, I probably won't. It's weird - I know I should be excited about this. Two of the creators whose work I enjoy most in the genre collaborating on the sequel to a work I thought was a high point of both their recent creative outputs. But. Perhaps I'm having some sort of breakdown. Still, I imagine I'll get it, and read it, and hopefully enjoy it very much. I'm sure everyone else ought to as well.

That was a fantastic comic. I don't want to get too specific cause I know our friends on the other side of the pond haven't got the issue yet, but it's one hell of a roller coaster. Feels like Grant and Cameron haven't missed a beat; I was scared, shocked, confused, amazed, overjoyed, despondent, and REALLY want a pair of Seaguy footie-pajamas. The art was better than ever, and Grant's dialog is witty as always ("Everyone knows the world's made of science and history.")

I really have no idea where this is going, but it's very exciting. I'll have to read it again this weekend to feel like I've fully wrapped my head around it.

Well done to all involved! They knocked it out of the park! Cameron, you're "acting" is especially tremendous; the facial expressions and body language of each character are fantastic, particularly Lucky El Loro! I was impressed by how you made that parrot emote, and his arc in this issue was my favourite of many amazing things. More after the rest of you have read this. Most entertaining read of the week for my money. Can't wait until #2, and hopefully the next trilogy will follow much sooner than this one.

Oh go on, Haus.

Admittedly, burned by Final Crisis and the Batman situation (nor am I a fan of ASS) I wasn't massively stoked about this either. But it is terrific, to the point of restoring one's faith in comics. The script brings to mind Samuel Beckett and Lindsay Anderson (as I'm sure it's supposed to) and the art's just right.

YOU WILL ENJOY SEAGUY

Cameron, is it definitely the plan to wrap up Seaguy in 3 volumes? GM referred to a possible 4th book, 'Cosmic Adventures of Seaguy' back in 2004...

I liked it! as before, it seems too short. I want more seaguy! I want seaguy every month!

i didn't think the comic could make me care about the parrot, but then it did.

how come the guys on the last panel have their colors mixed up from the guys on the cover? is that a mistake or SOMETHING MORE SINISTER?

"Something about 1/2 an animal seems sort of...familiar..."

Well, the song can be sung to the tune of the old Spiderman theme tune...

Loving the older, darker Seaguy, Cam - he's got a bit of a Dan Dare chin going on too.

The third volumes called Seaguy Eternal if memory serves.

We will certainly, yes certainly, be blogging about this, like the man say, but I guarantee we won't get anything up till next week. And then: SUPERHUGEPOST

I think we're past the point where there's much of an outcry over people pushing their blog/ebay store/fanfiction archive on Barbelith at this point, really.

You guys have blogs? Link or pm for the review please.

For me, it´s too early to make up my mind after just one issue. I liked it, but since there is such a dearth of fun comics these days, there was no way I wouldn´t have. I felt bad for the parrot.

Boboss, Duncan Falconer, Macguyver, Lord Nuneaton Savage, myself and a couple of others all share a blog called Mindless Ones. It's easy to find. Pop by anytime.

And it's beautiful. I want to see the El Macho story done in an hour on Masterpiece Theatre so much.

By the way, Cameron, you really outdid yourself with Carmen. She was the lead actor in this issue, and bounced through a ton of different points on the emotional spectrum; you nailed them all.

My local comic shop had no copies of Seaguy #2. My local comic shop sucks so fucking bad. It will be closed by the end of the year.

My LCS ran out of copies too. So what I do? I firebombed it! ... well, I ... firebombed it.
