Also my fault. The Cage/Jones romance runs through Bendis's Marvel work like a golden thread. Having read the entirety of it within the last couple of weeks, these are the only characters he writes about with anything other than fanboy affection and often the only characters I'm interested in. Hence perhaps inappropriate sex life speculation. But apologies for annoyance.

Lady: Aha. Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Aha. / I'm terribly sorry, it must be something I ate.

*snrk* I find that when threads like that end up in the Convo, moved from the Comics, they don't quite...fit. Possibly too esoteric, or simply giving off the wrong vibe as far as how the rest of the Lith views the Comics.

That and I'm sorry, the image wasn't particularly funny or interesting. At this point X-Men Resurrection Humour is a bit blah, you know? They've all died, they've all come back, it's been parodied in one of those X-Men: Death Becomes Them webtoons, resurrections just don't pack the same punch anymore.

I'm rather surprised that after the first "Guess who's back" thread was nuked, the second one was merely moved to the Convo (where, I gotta say, it doesn't so much with the fitting in) rather than being locked and nuked with a warning to the poster that ze'd been told before that such threads are not appropriate for Barbelith's Comics forum.

It is a particularly annoying example of badthreadness.

But the first iteration of the "who's back" was a "caption contest" that basically posited that people with disfigured faces are intrinsically hilarious (well, that's one possible read, anyway).

The "Guess Who's Back?" was ill-thought-out and weak, but not quite nukeworthy. "Hilarious picture of disabled man!" was quickly and justly toasted.

Lock worthy? Try and imagine a similar thread coming up in any other forum.

Fairly easy to imagine in Film & TV, actually, but that's not saying anything good.

Good points. Maybe I was fooled by the old "lower the bar dramatically/raise the bar sli-ii-iiightly" trick.
