there'll be no getting away from it, Toksik. And it's on for weeks.

You have my sypathies... although if you weren't watching Sky Sports right now you won't have heard a title sequence that featured a choral arrangement of 10CCs Dreadlock Holiday. Wouldn't that have been worth it?

Ron Stoppable
21:04 / 22.11.06
oh. or the solemn tones of Posh Voiceover Guy portetiously narrating the words to Jerusalem. Rather took the edge off.

21:15 / 22.11.06
Weeeell, it was basically cricket but you used the bat to guard your legs. In effect your legs were the stumps.

Also wherever you hit the ball to is where it hd to be thrown from. Caused for a few amusing situations, let me tell you, 'ol chap!

Wow. All the things I've missed. I've been FIGHTING ZOMBIES.

ZOMBIES!!!

FIGHTING THEM!!!

Ah, the Xbox 360 is truly a wondrous and ingenious device.

21:19 / 22.11.06
DON'T!

I WILL NOT BUY ONE!

I WILL STICK TO CORNISH CRICKET!

I've been oh so tempted to buy a 360 just for Dead Rising.

All the PS2 can offer me is Resident Evil. Which is ok, but y'know, no shopping malls. Wanna get my Romero on.

lord nuneaton savage
21:26 / 22.11.06
Yeah, I was replaying RE4 today. Yep, there's never been more fun yada yada, but no bloody Malls are there?

You can stick shower nozzles in their faces.

IN THEIR FUCKING FACES.

It's ace. And fiendishly difficult, though as always E Randy has made me look stupid by having completed it within a few days of release...

Boy, i blubbed at that Young@Heart Chorus doc. And felt uplifted in such a strong way i posted halfway through in the HAPPY thread. And spent the last 15 mins trying to find clips on YouTube. Nothing on there though. Blub Blub Blub.

I think the last time i cried, but also felt so happy and elated, whilst watching TV was during the late 70s when they had an old couple on Top Of The Pops singing songs from the musical Grease.

Actually, now i think about it, this may just be a bit of a fetish.

lord nuneaton savage
21:42 / 22.11.06
Balls, I'm really rubbish at difficult games.

Mind you I completed God of War. Clambered up all the spiky poles of Hades. That was bloody hard.

lord nuneaton savage
21:43 / 22.11.06
Which was for Stoatie obvs.

Young@Heart. God of War. What's the difference, eh?

Hmm. I'm torn between watching a zombie movie later and waking up on my birthday without a hangover.

Fuck it. I slept in until midday today. It would be stupid to have an early night. (Going to a gig tomorrow night so I don't want to be ready for bed midway through that, really).

Well, with one i never get past the huge snake thing on the boat without crumbling and with the other i can hardly get into the disabled loo without falling to knees and licking zimerframe chrome.

Who'd you see?

Some "futurepunk" bands, whatever that means. Deathboy, History of Guns, Action Directe, Xycogen and Snuff Radio.

I imagine they're noisy electrogoth bands, or something DHR-esque. A friend of mine from work reckons I'd like it, and it's only a fiver.

lord nuneaton savage
21:55 / 22.11.06
I got past the snake on the boat, Gladys. I got past. And went on to escape from HADES.

WOOF.

My money's on DEATHBOY.

WOOF.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Ah, nuneaton- but did you put on ill-fitting children's clothes and beat a zombie to death with a shop-window dummy?

I doubt it.

(JOIN US... JOIN US... BUY ONE. APPARENTLY THEY'RE BRINGING OUT CORNISH CRICKET FOR IT).

lord nuneaton savage
21:59 / 22.11.06
I'll do it if it's cornish cricket with zombies.

In a Cornish shopping mall, not that they have them in that God forsaken land...

History of Guns is a pretty good name for a band though.

Or maybe not, thinking about it 5 seconds later, one of those names.

Shame i can't make Conflict this weekend stoats. The upcoming secret gig in London sounds interesting. If you go along can you grab us a ticket?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

If I make it, which I'm really not sure about myself...

Oh bugger. I'm 35 now.

Can I still pretend to be down with the kids, or is that just embarrassing now?

'you never cried in Bagpuss?'

I cried for the mice. Crushed under the capitalist heel of Bagpuss.

lord nuneaton savage
22:01 / 22.11.06
Depends how old 'the kids' are, I suppose.

Happy birthday, fella.

It's just embarrassing now. Luckily i'm 34 for a bit yet so i can get away with it. Do you like the Strokes?
