Bear, I'm finding it hard to grow back my vegetarianism. I've never had an issue with the killing, per se, but did have an issue with how animals are kept and killed. Vegetarianism was, for me, a simple way of avoiding the whole debate. I had intended to wait till I had my own house so I could slaughter rabbits etc in a humane and jolly way. Unfortunately, it turns out I really, really, like meat. Looks like I'm just going to have to make friends with some form of super organic farmer with incredibly happy (read as "expensive") animals.
Although I spent a bad few days in an orgy of unethical eating, ("oh the bacon, oh the winkles, oh the mucus flavoured guilt"), I will be returning to the joyous ethical meats as soon as I work up the nerve to ask the butcher. |
