Haus, I'm sorry; it wasn't supposed to be unkind, it's a reference to a complaint which has been made about you in-board in the past. You're frankly cleverer than most of us and definitely better-read, and sometimes it does seem that you take people to task for the worst possible interpretation of something they've said. Call it the downside of being a powerful debater and someone who sees very clearly through layers of theory - from time to time, you seem to be crushing flies with a hammer, because I at least tend to see one layer at a time. Mea culpa (which is my only latin and I had to look up the spelling.)
Petey... as ever, really, I don't know what to say to you. I suspect that if it has seemed mocking, that was because I judged what you have said to warrant mockery is where it falls down for me. Basically, I find your interpretation of what warrants mockery callous and arrogant - hence I ignore you - and I'm reasonably confident I'm not unique in that. Shall we consider my personal grievance well and truly aired? |
