Gracias por el complido. I think you need an account to see them bigger. If you click on the pics on the initial screen they get a bit bigger, but not full size.

I find olou... a bit sinister. It's all questions. Show us a birth mark (admittedly, it doesn't have to be yours, within reason). Then, and only, then I might be part of your *sound of spitting, but not entirely sure what spitting online sounds like* small circle of friends. *drips contempt*

Not so sinister that it calls for triplicate, surely?

That sinister, indeed.
Good evening, my lovelies. I hope I find you well.

Thanks Xoc. There's a Barbelith Flickr group, but not much seems to get posted up there. No real sense of direction to it I guess.

I should go to bed. I 've got a hard day being unemployed at the beach tomorrow. ; )

It's great, huh? Although I am unemployed and on a beach that faces the North Sea. Not quite so much fun, but nice all the same. It's my last summer holiday as a student, so I should use it wisely and lazily.

Tabitha Tickletooth, WTF? Are you drunk? Olou?

Oh sorry, that's three questions.

If you're talking about me then quite frankly, fuck off and go and be uberbitch somewhere else.

Hello GB, good to see you. I wish I live near the beach but alas I am in the most landlocked city in Britain.

I would swap with you, but aside from the cold, I'm quite content. I am the land where a new cake and mug of tea is placed in front of you every few hours. And pretty much all our neighbours have brought round a batch of biscuits or cakes. It's good shit- although I have the feeling I'll be the one lifting my partner up when we get back to college.

It's only 70(ish) miles or so to the coast though, is it not, Olula?

Ouch - not drunk and no idea why it posted three times. And as is always the way, top of the page. Sorry Olou not meaning to be uber anything. I'm really shocked that I offended you and I certainly didn't intend to. May I offer this as a work of peace:

Oh bugger, on my mac I don't know how to do the linking thing. Please look at these little beings and understand that I wasn't meaning anything awful. Web fu look at the big picture go:

And oh fuck I continue to mispell your name. I'm really sorry - it's all gone horribly wrong. please forgive - I reallly wasn't meaning to have a go. I think there was time lag for my posting when you were asking a few very reasonable questions and I was just having an admittedly feeble laugh.

00:26 / 26.08.06
Tabitha, I really don't care how you spell my name, I just wasn't sure if the post was for me. My WTF? post was about the spitting and the use of the word sinister and the small circle of friends jibe and the use of the word contempt. It felt like an attack. It still does and your post doesn't make sense to me. Birthmark?

Tabitha Tickletooth
00:35 / 26.08.06
Olulabelle - I'm really sorry. I was only joking. Perhaps sinister is now a loaded word in a way I wasn't aware of. I unreservedly apologise I was just trying to have joke which clearly fell flat and which I regret.

Speaking as a third party, Tabitha, it's not just the 'sinister' - it's the *spitting* and *dripping contempt*, allied with the fact I cannot make an iota of sense from the post (if indeed one is to be made,) that lead me to agree with Lula that you were attacking her. For what reason, again, I have not the blindest clue.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

I'm guessing the second half was maybe all supposed to be read in a funny voice, as if by a sinister questioner?

Tabitha Tickletooth

You know what, it honestly was a just poorly phrased joke. I thought that putting any reference to spitting or the deeply (I was clearly wrong in thinking) ironic reference to a [not entirely sure how I signify this] barbe elite or small circle of friends as I jokingly referred to it within asterisks identified it for what it was.

I am genuinely sorry if I caused any offence and I'm kind of also surprised that I have. But to be honest, it does make me feel like I should stick to unambiguous statements in switchboard. It was at worst a poorly judged joke. It certainly wasn't an attack. And after one post which was ambiguous at worst, I've been at pains to make sure that Ololabelle knows that I did not mean to be rude or nasty.

It was a poorly judged jest. I don't actually think I need, or should have to, do much more in my defense. I know that what I won't do is chance my hand at a jest in the the late shift again because it's pretty clear that it's not an area in which I'm particularly good at gauging the mood and that I really shouldn't try to take part in.

Hey Hey!

Did someone mention mood?

[BARF!!!] hungover at work on a saturday puking every hour with massive headache using a hammer drill to take paint of a concrete wall that will soon be covered with plaster.

I was looking for the hangover thread sorry, this will have to do.

is any body out there?

I'm in again on a Saturday, trying not to spend money.

Had a headache, but it turned out I was just hungry.

My local library is great. Lots of good CDs and magazines too.

Hi Cog. I spent £9 on a bottle of wine today. Later, I turned off The Hustler with Paul Newman halfway through. I also bought a broom.

And how was the wine? Worth the money? I had a bit of a nasty bottle today, but it was only €2.79.

I should be job hunting, but Barbelith is calling. Maybe buy the paper tomorrow. I have to write my new cover letter in Spanish. Bah. Why did I decide to make job hunting even harder by deciding to do it in foreign?

OK minimalismteamSTOP then!

Hey also I bought this phone today. Or rather, I didn't buy it! It was a "free upgrade"... which I'm sure is sucking me in somehow, but which still felt a bit like a present.

It is so nice, the picture doesn't do it justice. It feels almost soft, with a little give in the casing, like hard rubber, and a slight metallic sheen. It's dark pink, not baby pink as in the illustration. What I like best is that it doesn't really look like a phone. Again, you can't see (I may have to take a photograph) but it looks like a cartridge for Barbie's Glock, or some kind of device from the Batgirl's utility belt. Or just a jewel case.

However, disclaimer one, it cannot be skimmed across the water (that only happens in fictionalisations) and admission two, I realise millions of people also own "my" phone and have done for months, and this wasn't an original choice.

Oh sorry Cog. I thought the team had abandoned the thread.

I haven't drunk the wine... £9 is sufficiently lavish wine-spending for me that I feel I have to keep and look forward to it for at least a couple of days. I had a taste before buying however and it was quite like Ribena. Complex Ribena, of course.

Well, I was planning to go out tonight but it's a bit too late now.

I've spent the last couple of hours doing a budget. I've been meaning to do it for a while because I want to apply for a mortgage and tonight at 9pm - for whatever reason - I thought I might as well to it now and - for whatever reason - I got a bit carried away and now it's 11pm and I've only just fully realised what I've done. I can't believe I wasted a bank holiday Saturday night doing a budget. And not a bog standard 5 minute scribble but a sparkly, shiny one that - for whatever reason - took me 2 hours. On a Saturday night.

Could someone please kill me? I will pay for the travel expenses and necessary equipment.
