I'm fine. Just found out I ma not be employed anymore, which sucks as it means I can't afford uni and will have to secretly return to prostitution etc. I did have a nice dinner.

It's mainly the bored.

The operating system thing is many words. I read them now. Thankyou PW.

Sorry to hear that Princess. Keep on truckin.

Me? Well, I'm trying to wind myself down from my moment of happiness with 33 (no, really); so I might watch a documentary online about Bush and Chaney being complete fuck-holes, allegedly. But this might wind me up, so...dunno...

Hey Keggers! How's tricks?

Hi Specofdust, welcome to lateshift.

Howdie Paranoid! Tricks are good today. I got a new camera and was just asked to do a full body mendhi design for a friend. I've never done that before and Im quite looking forward to it.

Hee! It'll be posted when it's finished, but I can think of at least one person on Barbelith who trumps you on that one.

Just got the OS stuff. Why do computer analogies of my mind always result in my confsion? Why!!
My dad is walking around farting and complaining and eating cheese. I may be asked to leave in the next few minutes.

Are you still doing grant's JE script, iamus? Quitely and McNiven, nay Portacio even! got nothing on you.

iamus
23:12 / 21.08.06
Are you still doing grant's JE script, iamus?

YES! yes! Just.........

There's shame here. Lots of shame.

Suffice to say though, I'm really proud of it. Well, the later stuff mainly. It'll be good when it's done. I hope he finds it worth the wait anyhow. It's certainly taught me the value of preparation, organisation and ,y'know , a work ethic, and stuff....

The Falcon
23:14 / 21.08.06
I have a terrible work ethic. Know what i'm doing now? Parping around on messageboards, when I possibly should be making headway into my MSc dissertation of 10,000 words, due in 3 weeks. Know what I've been doing the last two months? See above.

Princess
23:14 / 21.08.06
Burn your tongue! The w-ethic phrase is not to mentioned by the under 30s. Shit, you might have caught it now. You know it's contagious don't you! O GOD! WHAT IF I CATCH IT!

Princess
23:16 / 21.08.06
When did the O mouthed smiley turn from a scream into a yawn. Why wasn't I consulted?

Hi all. You think you're bored Swashbuckling. I'm going to be up all night proof-reading a friend's dissertation which I've promised them for tomorrow. I am learning all about the Mercosur, a subject that I know nothing, nothing at all about. It's going to be a long night. Thank 'eavens for Lateshift!

iamus
23:22 / 21.08.06

I've got lots of exciting things I want to get onto after this (including another JE project with grant that got temporarily sidelined while I focused on finishing the comic about, uh, six months ago..... probably....). Had a great idea for an animated thing that'd blow yr socks off too.....

I should tell you to get thee to your dissertation, but I have a best man's speech that needs a good few more passes, due round about the same time.

I must be getting old, Princess. I find myself craving a work ethic. I think it might be a good thing. One that could impact positively on me.

Though I think about tea in the same way, and that tends to cancel the other out.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Under 30s, Swashbuckling? Crikey, I'm 34 and firmly convinced that the w-ethic thing is bollocks.

But then, I've always been a late developer.

Princess
23:24 / 21.08.06
Well, I find myself craving harcore pornograph and sleep so it might be time for me to take the latop away from te internet connection.
Iamus, I will leave you with your slippers and illustration. To all: a goodnight.

Busy, busy, Modernist Late thread, eh? It's like the (ahem) Neue Nationalgalerie on a busy day in here. I can't keep up.

Princess, when I'm bored, I either come here as you've done, play an instrument, or get lost in a thought / doodle (maybe with a notebook), or get lost checking odd facts on the web and then going further off on one in a spiral of research. e.g. I just tried to think of a Modernist Building, couldn't think of one, found Ludwig Mies van der Rohe on the wiki, and tried to find an appropriate building which he designed (hence my links). Cool, huh?

Stoat, Falconator, and everyone else who's crammed in here as well, howdi! I wanna see ALL your play, in time, and I have yet to be be disappointed in the creative work practised by y'all.

Oh, and that's my foot.
