That honey badger is blind, near-toothless and in the stages of dying OF OLD AGE. (It's the same one from the documentary). Okay, so it does end up dead- after a fucking HOUR of the leopard trying to kill it. I think the leopard is actually incidental- the honey badger dies of old age, mid-fight.
