Stoat, would you be up for a quick PM about that, uh, issue we talked about a month back?

Same here, I really couldnt care less about care. Although for some reason ever since I was a kid I've wanted a 67 bug with a Rolls Royce grill.. I think it may be because that was the first model-kit I ever got.

Plain chocolate Hobnobs are among the best things in the world. Not as good as puppies, but better than humorously-shaped vegetables. And that's pretty damn good.

I just want a kryptonite (superman!) green (my fave colour!) mini (michael caine!). For obvious reasons.

Right, that ibuprofen is going down town.

Oh god. Stoat-a-roo! I'm so buying choccy hobnobs as soon as I wake up tomorrow and then staying in bed and watching telly all day. Hello, Angel dvds. I can't even think of anything better.

EXTREME GORBACHEV- yeah, go for it on the PM thing- prolly won't be able to send a particularly long reply (work and all) but yeah, go for it. (I had been wondering, you know. Just thought it would be a bit rude to ask).

I have yet to experience chocolate-smothered hobnobs, only the plain oatmeal ones. Top of my to-do list: GO!

Wait. Here's a banana.

Stoat, I've just sent you the biggest PM ever. Barbelith's server is most certainly crying.

All the way.

They're cookies. Er, biscuits. Oatmeal based (I think), sometimes covered in chocolate, sometimes not. They are delicious. The thumbs-up in the picture is no exaggeration.

GAH can't sleep. Fucking hell. Serves me right for taking a three hour nap in the middle of the day.

Hell's bells.

Can anyone join in or is this just for initiates?

All welcome h, but it's early yet, and early on a Friday night too. So only old misanthropes like me sitting at home on the computer. This thread usually warms up just as my eyelids force themselves closed.

Yeah, anyone can join in. The Late Shift's like an EVEN MORE secret society bit. But easier to join. And usually more drunk. (Or, if you're me, more bitter about working nights).

I've got the weekend off! I've only two days left on my current project and then I'm done! My lovely fiancee comes to England in less than two weeks!

How's the rest of the shift?

In my case, wondering if I should wait for The Invisibles to download or if I should just light the damn spliff now..

Friday nights are made for staying home and reading. Hell, that's what I did last New Year.

I overuse italics.

Uuuuurgh. Sounds like something from a 1970s film... my sympathy. (Do you have waffles in yr freezer? If so I recommend them as an alternative to chipes)

Just do what I did right now:
listen to Mr. Blue Sky from ELO, really moodlifting, or shifting.

The other day at work somebody brought in some chips - which smelled great. As all others were eating tastless gruel at the time, they smelled so much better than they should have. I am tired, have the flu, and can't sleep. But still, good things mentioned before outwiegh these. Plus I'm gonna go to the cinema tomorrow and see Serenity. Also get haircut, do some laundry, read papers, drink coffee, relax, nap, watch Team America, nap etc etc. Wow, was a noise outside, might have been thunder, but it was big.

Once you light the joint, you become very garrulous for a while but your typing skills will go to fuck. Then you'll go very quiet and get distracted by the pretty colours in the carpet or some such. Then you'll disappear for half an hour to find something to eat in the kitchen.

For me to play mr blue sky I'd either have to hook up my external hard drive or go and find the cd, neither of which is a walk in the park when alcohol-impaired.

Youre wrong about the last bit Xoc. Rule #1: ALWAYS stash up before ignition, the kitchen might not seem so far away right now, but I know it will.. I KNOW!

Can't you just wander around your house singing it to yourself? Possibly in a comedy Muppet voice or something. That would be good.
