On a completely unrelated note, does anyone know what groundhogs eat? I just discovered that a groundhog lives under my garden shed. I'm thinking of calling the groundhog, "Bill Murray", after the actor that starred in that film, Groundhog Day.

Thanks, guys. Well, I won't be catching any bugs for this groundhog. However, I will leave out some veggies and fruits. Not that this thing needs it. It's enormous! It's bigger than my dog. I discovered it about a week ago, when I looked into the backyard, and saw it happily munching away on apple. My neighbor has a large apple tree, with branches that extended over the fence and into my yard. As a result, we get apples too. The groundhog was eating an apple that had fallen to the ground.

Yup, they are. Though I am worried that one day my dog and groundhog will meet. My dog is just curious enough to go and sniff at it. Unfortunately, she's also very docile and cowardly. And, as I said, this groundhog is bigger than her. The groundhog could do a lot of damage if it attacked.

So what is everyone drinking at the moment? I've noticed that the lateshifters tend to be drinking while posting. Alas, I myself am having organic valerian tea and not booze.

Hi, Shoulder Bug. If you're having difficulty sleeping, why not try herbal remedies? Valerian tea, chamomile tea, and warm milk with honey are great relaxants. I just had a cup of valerian tea. 'Course I've negated its soothing effects by having some mithai (Indian sweets) and now have a bit of sugar jolt. Curse my sweet tooth!

I don't drink coffee or tea, possibly the cause lies on the nicotine front but not more than usual really.
I'm just not tired a-t a-l-l. I'm now really debating ringing in sick tomorrow which will give me until wednesday off.
But this will be my first day back from a weeks holiday and I should be handing in my notice in a couple of hours as I'm returning to college in a month or so. It just looks bad but there's no way I'll be in any mood to deal with people and I'll look really wrecked like I've been on some sort of binge all week.

Shoulder Bug, if the warm milk and honey doesn't work, do you have any Nyquil lying about? If you do, take a bit. Don't take the normal dose, as that will put you in a nyquil coma. Take a half dose, which will make you sufficently drowsy.

I had a blue curacao (sp?) martini a few years back, and I didn't particularly like it either.

Regular martini, admittedly a pre-mixed martini and rossi. A good excuse for getting off work is an optical migraine- "I'm in pain and I can't see. I'm no good to you."
