Well, scotch is a good way to get to uselessness. There are other much less noble paths to the fine country of uselessness. Many people, in fact, are useless due to no such efforts of their own. Why drinking to a state of uselessness basically makes you a self-made man. Which, I hear, is a good thing...

alas

True, but I think, somehow, that the moment I hear of such slang is the moment it's become passe, so... well what the hell.

I think I shouldn't be typing in the dark. I just came in here to turn my computer off, and now look at me. First I had to read Nina's thread and became all obsessed with finding myself on the list. Now this. But really, I CAN STOP ANY TIME I WANT!

Taking this in order:

Alas:I am here, so here. No thread killa for you! Infact no replacing 'er' with 'a' ever again. For you, its verboten. This I commmand!

Jake: Not much, but its nice to be here with folks like you all.

Alas:I've gone from white to red and bach again

Kapokalypse: (love the name!) I've nver had Cutty Sark. Is it worth the buy?

"Many people, in fact, are useless due to no such efforts of their own. Why drinking to a state of uselessness basically makes you a self-made man."

I think I want this translated into various dead languages and made a tattoo!

I think the thing with dumb slang is that when you use the current dumb slang, people are more likely to think you're serious, especially on the internizzle, where there is no tone of voice, and no one can see that I am one of the whitest people ever to walk the earth.

Interestingly, Snoop was just on TV doing a Chrysler commercial with Lee Iacocca(!), and the "izzles" were flying thick and fast.

I just think izzling is hilarious, that's all.

Keggers- have it done in Arameic (sp, I'm sure) and you can fit in with the "Passion of the Christ" crowd. I've actually seen that. It's terrifying.

alas

white to red and bach again

Try some Aloe and Mozart, I'd suggest.

But you're welcome to tattoo my useless babbling anywhere you want, in any dead language you find, baby.

Ok. It's definitely time for alas to make her way to night-night town.

(Please don't tell me that the hip kids aren't saying "night-night town" any more...)

good night, shifters all.

Saint Keggers

Jake: Im thinking of maybe having it done in Tolkien Dwarvish. Sure, its not an actual dead language but it does tie in nicely with the whole drinking theme.

"Ok. It's definitely time for alas to make her way to night-night town."

Her? Oh Crap! Now im going to have to find an other visual/mental icon for you.

PS: Alas, the 'Hip Kids' were the first against the walls!

G'night and sweet dreams!

(heh heh heh, it's so cool to have been ambiguously, even erroneously, gendered to you, kegboy. You made my night! Now I really am going off. 'night!)

Jake, Colossus of Clout

Goodnight, alas.

All the cool kids I know say "night-night town." And sometimes "beddy-bye."

Saint Keggers
03:49 / 20.08.05
My grandma still says, "Good night, sleep tight. Dont let the bed bugs bite."

I know its odd but I hope I may say the same to my kids.

Jake, Colossus of Clout
03:52 / 20.08.05
My Mom used to say that to me. It's a classic, and I may well use it if I ever have kids.

I feel I must state, hopefully without debate, that its never too late for it to be late.
How's things?
Me im currently pissed off at Mastercard for using "Pure Imagination" in their commercial.
Finding a new low to sink to: 0$
Using a much loved song: unknown $

Advertisements are designed to piss intelligent people off, and the advertisers do not give a shit, they revel inignorance and exalt it as the ideal. The sop box is calling..

I'm being both late and shift. I'm very very very fucked, mind, having been to see Morning Bride and then another band and drunk lots of booze...

How were the Bride, Stoats? I would have come but had a birthday party. Have also scored Buffys 3 and 6 on DVD, and am feeling quietly pleased. Trying not to think about capital expenditure involved.

Ah, they were excellent- set was a bid short, cos of logistical problems and stuff, but they were ace. (They're playing again in a couple of weeks, so try and make it!)

Then we went to see Monkey Isaldn, who were pretty good, but I just got hammered really. Then went round a friend's house with Tango-Mango and watched cartoons and got stoned.

Now trying to figure out whether to go to bed, having slept most of the afternoon. Although listening to the cricket (it was on, and I couldn't be arsed to turn the radio off, even though I hate sport) and drifting in and out of sleep was quite fun- I had the most amazing dreams about a cricketer called "NEON CHRIST", until I woke up and hear that there's apparently one called Neil Price.

I think Neon Christ is the better name, really.

It doesn't really say "CRICKET!!!" though, does it?

(Actually, I'm trying to think of a name that does...)
