New one. Bring your monkeys, ice cream, kidnapped children and musical instruments over from the old one, there's plenty of room here!

Nice shift. Spacious.

Couple of plinths and it'll look quite spiffy.

In case someone missed my lovely story.
Speaking of animals. Sports announcer Marv ALbert's greatest moment may hve been during a New York Knicks game in the early 80's. The camera panned up into the cheap seats, and there was a dog with a lit cigar in it's mouth (this was before smoking was banned indoors).

Marv says, "You know it's a bad game when a dog starts smoking a cigar."

I love the "this was before smoking was banned indoors" qualification.

To be honest, I'm not much of a sports fan, but I'd reckon a dog smoking a cigar would MAKE the match for me.

Ello!

Just popping in to ask: Jack, do you mind if I copy and paste that into the 'Leslie Nielsen: "In Praise of Silliness" thread'? Oh, and do you have a linky or a digital copy of that? (I have a soft spot for anything where animals are anthropomorphised-- within reason, of course).

Cheers. TTFN.

See that one at the back?

He's the coolest cat around.

Top Cats! I like the way the singer is grabbing her (?) pearls and looks about to do a Witney Houston chin wobble.

I've always wanted to get the rearquarters of a kitten stuffed and mounted on a stand. People would see it and say "thats horrid!" and Id say "no, its a catastrophy"

PFFFFFFTTT! -squirts beer from nose-

That's the best joke I have ever heard, right there.

Wow. Momentous occasion. It's kind of weird thinking I'll never hear a better joke until the day I die.

JD, shame. Reckon there's any way to track it down (i.e. can you remember the date of broadcast, etc)? I should put a post in the Hate thread about how much not being able to get hold of a source drives me up the wall, and how my research skills make it worse.

e.g. I'm still after this (from a couple of other Barb-threads):

"... does anybody know how easy it would be to get hold of an old clip from 'You've Been Framed?' The clip I want is of a (seemingly) stray dog in an alley who, seeing the camera, rears up onto his hind legs and proceeds to prance up and down as though he's mocking humanity. A stranger even walks past and the dog follows him down the alley for a while! I REALLY WANT THIS CLIP! PLEASE?! ... "

Grr.....

They have such nice tails. I've always wanted a cat's tail. Perhaps I could have one made for me and surgically attached but I doubt it would move properly.

Thank you. Made that one up all by myself I did.

(obviously that was to Keggers, not Liger's cat).

I have a similar picture of my old cat, Radar. Except in that one, he has two glowing, yet differently coloured eyes.

I hear ya on the research stuff. I always thought every book, and every clip of every tv show and/or movie would be accessible on the internet by 2000.

One day (well, maybe), we'll be able to just hook our memories up to a monitor and copy and paste stuff like that. Or maybe a little "spider" will then goo off and search everywhere for a hard copy of the original. I'd like that.

I would, Liger, but it's on my laptop which is currently still in the shop for repairs after a whole month.

(don't get me started on that, or I may have to post something in the Urgh! Fuck! thread and I have vowed never, ever to do that).

When I get the computer back, I'll PM it to you.

If they've kept it a whole month now, they may have found your monkey porn. They and the police are no doubt scouring the law books for monkey porn laws as we type.

The Matrix-one that is, it's pretty obvious in the latter one.
