(If anybody remembers me, hello again.)

With this thread being described as "ever-impending," I did what any proud Dad with a folder full of kid-pics would do. This!

My boy's name is Patrick Aidan. We got him 3.5 mos. premature (easily the toughest three months of my life so far), but he's overcome all hurdles to become this adorable 9 mo. old kid (making those tough 3 mos. easily the most rewarding of my life so far).

How do people who swore they'd never be parents get to the point where they can't imagine not being parents?

Hmmm...watch out for bathtime pics or Tom Coates will have the Nanny State knocking on his door and Barbelith will fall over good and proper.

How can you not titter over that shot? Wifey was laughing when she took it. Me too, 'smatter o'fac'.

Where's Grant and his kinder? And didn't Lepidopteran (sp?) and 2stepfan have kiddies? Pony up, peeps! You too, Libertine.

Sweet Christ, does Haus have kids?

Yes. Like the spawning salmon, he has sown his mighty meme-seed and his spiritual children are spread far and wide, from sea to shining sea. However, he has sworn never to touch them.

This thread has also made me come over all motherly, so much so that I might indeed 'acquire' one, one of them babbys, the next time I'm in the local Tesco's.

(Even though I've got 'a bit of previous,' have done 'bird,' 'chokey' and such for, er, precisely 'this sort of thing.')

To whom? Don’t tell me Hello! magazine doing a special on 21st century literary figures? Can we expect to see Sax and family lounging barefoot in their sumptuous drawing room?

I think Sax means he sold the babies, not their pix....

(alas attempts a cheap shot: Are we allowed to make jokes about selling children on Barbelith? So long as they are heterosexual children?)

Mm, I was alert to that possibility. I just liked the idea of Sax’s fame inveigling him in some deal that signed the rights to pictures of his children over to Hello! magazine. Like when the Beckhams had to confiscate cameras from friends and family at their wedding.

But yeah, far more likely that he sold the kids. Probably to Alex.

I'm afraid that he did, yes. Still, if it buys him the time to write another novel, I guess everyone's happy.

I mean I know I am.

Sorry, I forgot to mention they shit when and where they like. But you probably know that now. Tell them Daddy says hello and he'll get them out of hock as soon as he finds work.
