I enjoy them too, in a sadistic kinda way, but it'd be nice to have a little more variety: it's invariably "I fancy someone unattainable", with a greater or lesser degree of psychosis-flavoured projection/wish-fulfilment...

Have to be kind though don't you? Most people only find that out when they have relationships that give them a basis for comparison and look back. My joy in those threads is partly sadistic but also I think they do make me cheery in a everyone's-the-centre-of-their-own-world kind of way.
