One of my parents siamese cats sits on the floor beside you and you can almost hear it saying "I am so cute, I am so so cute, give me bacon. Give me bacon or I WILL GET YOU!" That's when it jumps up and tries to eat it out of the pan.
One of my cats will literally stick his head in your plate if you don't watch him, and if you have a forkful of something he wants he'll grab your hand with his paw and pull it towards him.
If my pets' manners are anything to go by, my children are going to be horrid brats.
