Thats whats wrong with Canada. We dont have CBC, CBC2/3/4/5/infinity, we just have the old cbc. Sigh.

BBC2 was, I believe, conceived with a sort of 'bringing culture to the masses' brief. A few decades down the line, they still show some cracking films that wouldn't get shown on telly that much otherwise.

How you doing Keggers? Been a while.

Hellooo there. Well aware that I'm a fair-weather (or drunken-weather) late-shifter but hellooo anyway, y'all.

Aww Ganesh, It's Always Fair Weather!

Had a good night then?

Saint Keggers

Im doing alright. Bit annoyed that plans I had to the evening fell through...but c'est la vie.
We only have the one chanel and it tries to be everthing to everyone. Too much Ann of Greengables for a while.

Ganesh

Yes indeed. Out with the Hindu Psychiatric Mafia (quite nice, as career mafias go) and pleasantly recovering-drunk on a mixture of Stella, vodkadietcoke and the lovely Veuve de la Clicquot.

You only have one Chanel? Aww that is a shame. I have many, but No 5 is my favourite!

My coat's on and I'm out of the door.

I have to go do some exercise now - truly I am The Karate Kid! But I shall be back fairly soon, I hope. Peace and hugs to all until my return.

I've just got home...
I may well be asleep soon, so, just in case, helloy and goodnight.
I may not though. It all depends on how complicated/flammable the so-called "oven chips" turn out to be.

The complicatedness and flammability of comistibles is directly proportional to one's intake of alcohol.

Saint Keggers
00:21 / 30.04.05
yeah!

Hello shifters. I am also a mite drunk, but not as drunk as I was on last night's shift. Promise.

Mordant, I have seen the results of that equation taken to it's extreme conclusion before. It involved vast quantities of alcohol, square sausage, a melted cooker, and every wall in a large flat turned black.

You know in cartoons, when something gets blown up and it turns to ash? They keep their form until somebody touches them, then they blow away in the wind?

The sausages were like that.

I think my ability to cope with cookable stuff and flames and shit has about reached my level of pissedness.
I think I should sleep now. Goodnight, lithers... everywhere.

Yay! I'm all sweaty and buzzing now!

Um ... you really didn't need to hear that, did you?

I'm starting to sober up and I'm all outta beers. Blegh.

Brigade du jour
00:28 / 30.04.05
I have red wine, Mordant, and no one to share it with at the mo. Care for a snifter?

Brigade du jour
00:30 / 30.04.05
The wine offer extends to all, by the way! Although I only have about a third of a 75cl bottle left.

Saint Keggers

I have no wine, no beer. nothing but coffee. I am a sad Keggers

Thanks, but I need booze in my stomach. Not in my head. Your wine merely serves to taunt me in my increasingly sober state.

One of us is lonely, one of us is only waiting for a beer...

I'm kinda both right now. How's you, 'Nesh?

I too am both. Sigh.

Brigade du jour

Don't feel lonely, I'm here! There! Sort of.

I'll do a little dance, sing a little song, you'll all be marvellously entertained. It's what I do!

Ganesh

Not too bad. My current drunken-sitting-up-alone-partner-gone-to-bed-album is ABBA's The Visitors, hence the misquote.

I'm actually very happy. In the last seven days, we've bid on a new flat and had our bid accepted, gone to the bank and had our mortgage plans unequivocally approved (which was revelatory to Xoc, who always imagines we're one step away from the shoe-shine). Should be in by summer, and I'm already planning a big housewarming party for July/August...

I'll make you feel better by being a wallflower and only drinking tomato juice.

Joy, sunshine and celebrations, then. Oh elephant headed God!

Ganesh
00:52 / 30.04.05
Indeed. We have bought a flat (nay, a maisonette) with a second bedroom and a roof terrace. And a conservatory!

w00t! Lovely.

I'm only lonely till mid-day tomorrow--well today now, actually--when L'Anima returns.

Actually I think I might try and crash now. See you guys tomorrow night, doubtless...

Having seen l'ovely l'Anima not so l'ong ago, I can sympathise. Goodnight.

A maisonette, Ganesh? You flash thing, you!

Anyway my lovelies, I'm off to have some dinner. At 3am. Yep, that's me! Plus I think I'll watch Sweet And Lowdown.

Looooooo-oooove 4 one another! beep beep beep beep beep ...
