Well...I'm on my 6th can of Red Stripe after a couple of pints earlier so i'm quite mwrry. My problem is that after this last can i have nothing exeptt a bottle of red wine that i got off my girlfriends mother over the weekend or my girlfriends cherished Absinthe which is staring at me from a shelf. I also have only 4 tabs left....Now the way i see it i have these options...

1...Go to the all night off licence and get a couple more beers and some fags (bear in mind that i'm in my jammies and it's fucking freezin outside)

2...Drink the wine present and either...a: buy a new red wine before my girlfirnd notices or b: get in an argument about my lack of respect over xmas pressies...also stretch my last 4 fags out

3...Drink some of my girlfriends Absinthe and get completly fucking pissed...Bear in mind it will either be straight or mixed with Kia Ora...And get my head ripped off by my girlfriend...also stretch my last 4 fags out

Well i've decided to agree with all your good advice and drink some Absinthe. I figure opening the wine is pretty shitty as it is an xmas pressie after all.Going to the Off licence involves getting dreesed and warm and braving the London streets. 3 fags can last for a bit and i do have work in a few hours and i was planning on getting Absinthe this week anyway so it's all worked out for the best really.

Now i'll report back in a bit once the wormwood has kicked in...

I must get some absinthe in in time for Christmas, although I have to be careful. A few years back I drank too much of the stuff on Christmas Eve and ended up missing Christmas entirely.

No...its legal but in Quebec you have to go through the S.A.Q (Societe des Alcohols de Quebec) and they're are only one or two outlets that stock it and most of that is sold to bars.

Ghadis, I think when I started looking at it - really just because I wanted the excuse to design a label - I think I found it’s illegal to possess distilling *equipment* in this country.
