Pretty clever of Marvel not to list the actual returnee in the poll on their site.

** POSSIBLE MORE SPOILERS **

Apparently Peter/Piotr shows up behind Kitty, as he has just crushed some opponent or thing that was about to attack her. When she turns around in shock, he says something sad-sounding along the lines of "...am I dead yet? Please tell me if I am dead..."

Maybe bioengineering/cloning has brought him back, from the people who are messing with the mutant gene? BioGeneTech whatever their name is?

whoever comes back, i don't really care how it's done, to be honest.

if it's Piotr, anything that undoes the lame death Lobdell gave him is fine by me. in general, i don't like people coming back from the dead, but fuck it, they've abandoned the "dead means dead" rule anyway, and if they're going to bring back anyone, let it be him, and just let however you do it be quick and simple. no alternate Asian bodies, no lost memories, no weird changes in powers, just the big soulful, sensitive Russian artist who turns into a big steel battering ram that we love. i trust Whedon to do that.

if it's Jean, i don't want to see her come back, and i don't think Whedon really does either, but since we know she's going to at some point, i'd rather he do it than anyone else, and, frankly, again, i trust him more than most other people Marvel would have do it.

Without reading the issue this does seem to support the dream idea, alien guy dreams of winning a gladiatorial tournament, Scott dreams of Jeanie, the doctor dreams of a cure, and now Kitty dreams of her first big crush, who made her feel all special inside. It's all that nightmare creature's fault!

Yes, very good point.

Perhaps Henry fantasies about being a man. Would help explain the cover.

I am so glad I didn't read this thread for a few weeks. That "found" page was a total fucking ruse. It's Pete and only Pete, at least so far, and at least in this issue.

God damn it that was so great. That was some Silence of the Lambs style misdirection, throughout the entire issue. Knocks Meltzer's heavyhanded Shock Tactics out of the park.

HOT DAMN!

Heh, I read over the thing 3 times looking for that damn phoenix image. Then, marvel releases a new wallpaper to taunt us!

During that whole Zero Tolerance thing, morlock bull dyke Calypso was sick in bed. She was lying in a bed in the sewers, incessantly carping about who-knows-what to crap-character-in-general Marrow. She was also regularly being visited by Colossus. As far as I know he was dead. I got bored and gave up on the book. Was that really Colossus? Could that Colossus be this Colossus?

Very clever. That page was indeed a ruse. Nice going, Marvel -- use the net to psyche out fanboys. Works for me!

Are we discussing this issue in this thread or the other teeny tiny one Flux started?
