I think it's a valid complaint that we haven't seen much of the War of Light lately, but I figure that will (hopefully) come into play/interact with the Blackest Night stuff sooner rather than later, as opposed to 8 issues of "Fighting Zombies!" and then the War of Light. As surmised above, it will probably take all the colors to kick Zombie ass, esp. given that there were prophecies that Yellow will fight alongside Green and blahblah blah. [insert soundtrack to Donovan's "Mello Yello" here] "Zombie 70s Justice League" was sort of cute but not as cool as Johns thinks it is. And I guess The Atom/Ray Palmer got zombified and it will be a reveal next issue since he's not in #2's final page...
and if someone does something good with Aquaman after all this, that can only be a good thing. How many countless times have we read on message boards across the world, over the years, 'if only someone wrote a really great Aquaman series (other than Peter David years ago), there is so much potential in that character that hasn't been tapped.' (although Dan Jurgens' short run writing the character - with waaay pre-Capt. America Steve Epting art - was pretty decent, surprisingly so, as I recall) |
