Hm. The only time I saw Sonic Youth they were supported by Pavement and Huggy Bear. There’s a pleasant tale for you, I mean, wow, what a line-up. Oh, and Huggy Bear totally pissed over both of them. Not literally of course, but that’s about the only way they could possibly have rocked any harder.

That sounds like an incredible show, man! That's like, my favourite show ever! I'm guessing it was early 90s? Pavement were pretty shambly around then (and for most of their career). I am deathly jealous.

Yeah, it was the original, Gary Young, drumming-with-handstands, handing-out-spaghetti-at-the-door era-Pavement. Tres shambly and deeply fab. And Huggy before they had released Her Jazz. And ‘ver Youth touring the Dirty album. I was young and in love and Grunge Conquered All, and life rocked. (Affects jaded air) It was okay.

Dirty is my least favourite Yoof album.

'plinth' has a nice little bounce to it that I didn't recognize the first time. Prolly cuz the Crowley-vibration comment didn't have me say it quickly. It works well with the quicker reading as well.
