perhaps you have an experience in your past that links a full belly with a heavy heart?
did you ever get metaphorically shit on from on high while feeling sated and slaked?

forhalloween;
i really wanna go as 'caseyjones' from the teenage mutant ninja turtles.
i have the hair and the look(close enough) and i can totally pull off the attitude. i havent got mask, but that's easily fixed.
i do worry, though.
i worry as to just how arrestable i will be with a baseball bat, hockey stick and several golf clubs in a golf bag on my back...
halloween, right?
so leeway?
but dangerously toooled up and probably drinking...
so "gerrinnabackarahvan!" territory?
i cant decide.
legal minds and drunksperts: will it be cool?

Problem is in the UK, they can pretty much pick you up for carrying anything, if it was intended to be used as a weapon. Saying you were on the way to a costume party would be a defence against that.
However I'd try & make sure you didn't get involved in a fracas, as then it would be difficult to prove you hadn't gone out with the intent of causing harm.
But I am not a lawyer, and I am cynical enough to reckon if the police want to arrest you, they probably will regardless of whether or not you are technically not breaking the law.

A couple iTunes / digital music questions that are too dumb for me to find answers on the usual FAQs. Hoping that someone here will take pity on me.

Firstly, through poor housekeeping I'm sure I have multiple copies of various albums on my hard disk. Is there an easy way in Windows XP to find duplicate files in order to delete them?

On a related note, I've cleared various albums out of my iTunes library - while keeping them in my iTunes Music folder - to keep the library within a 15GB limit for simple synching with my 15GB 3G iPod. I've now upgraded my iPod and so can afford to bring all my music back into my Library. Can iTunes search the iTunes music folder and reinstate what's missing?

Can anyone tell me what time the fireworks start on Primrose Hill on Saturday? I can't seem to find any information about it anywhere on google.

Smoothly, on multiple copies, how about the search function?

Brunt, I think that is possibly my best option. It just left me thinking ‘Where to start?’. I suppose I could just search for all mp3s, sort alphabetically and then scroll through for pairs. Hmmm, I was hoping that there might be some way for windows to scan the disk for duplicate files (that would be useful wouldn’t it?), but I suppose running an eye down an ordered search list could be effective.
Cheers.

Jub - is there a display actually on Primrose Hill, or do people just go up there to watch any number of other displays across town?

That's probably it then!

Smoothly: There are various free or shareware duplicate finders - try Noclone. Wouldn't it be easier to do this using iTunes rather than Wiindows Search? Arrange them alphabetically by albbum and scroll down?

If you think there are actually duplicates in iTunes, there's a 'view duplicate songs' option (under the Edit menu on my Mac, don't know where it'd be in Windows).

Cheers muesli, but I'm okay on that front I think. It's more that I've been lazy, copied files from other parts of my drive into iTunes, then not deleted the original. My PC is a complete mess, organisationally. I'm half tempted to start a thread about how people manage their files and folders. I'm sure people will have some nifty systems.

Oh, while I'm here, how do I save a screen cap as an image file?

ALT+Prt Scr to copy it, then paste it into an image editing programme and save it from there. Paint will do.

I have a question, and it's terribly, terribly embarrassing. Recently I went to a Tears gig. Brett Anderson was looking good (I'm wincing as I type this, I didn't know it would be this bad) and I later had a discussion with my dear companion who found it hard to believe that he (Anderson) had once had "a bit of a belly". I swore to prove this with photographs, but google image searchs for brett+anderson+belly and similar rendered up nothing. I went through about 20 pages of a general brett+anderson search (after that point it's all pictures of rollercoasters), and still nothing. Lots of fan art though.

So. I find it hard to believe that this picture I remember -a particularly unflattering photo of Suede live, taken so close to the band that Brett's belly looks like a kind of gelatinous overhanging cliff. Do you know if this charming image is online? Maybe you actually own this image, in an old magazine or somesuch. Can you help? I'm kind of irritated that I can't find it.

‘Scuse my bumpage, but this question was kinda left hanging when the other Q&A thread was started. Also because that other Q&A thread has suddenly gone all cosmic and woah, celestial bodies maan, and that all feels a bit heavy right now. And anyway, I really liked this last question...

So, Vincennes, probably not the exact picture you’re looking for, but how about one of these? - Not so fat, but then not quite the bowiesque twiglet that the Melody Maker was promising us in 1993, either. He's certainly looking much leaner these days.

That first pic is quite something. Thanks Bed, they should indeed suffice to convice the d. companion that Brett was not always so lithe..! Good skills with the finding as well, none of those came up on Google for me.

Ahh, closure. The final question has been satisfactorily answered. Lock the thread!
