I'm rehearsing Romeo & Juliet. I'm Meerrr-cutio.

This coming weekend is the last four shows of my current run of Funny Thing Happened on the Way the Forum, too.

So what's up for discussion this evening, then? I hear Mel Gibson's Jesus movie has just killed another viewer- and this one was a priest! What are the odds?

Mazarine
23:12 / 23.03.04
Dude, really? I didn't know it'd killed anyone!

My CD of The Witches, a Korean ska band, finally arrived today. It's really good! One of their songs is featured in this excessively cute flash movie: Here!.

I'll have to check it out when I get home in the morning, Maz- the sound on this computer's shit. (It plays CDs okay, though, so I'm continuing my David Byrne obsession quite nicely.)

Hey up. I seem to have become an Amiga-emulator widow tonight.

I love Amigas. I've got three of the fuckers, despite being the least computer-literate person in the world. Apart from my mum.

Yeah... Lurid used to have one but he had to get rid of it when we moved. He gave it to his brother, I think. Anyhow he downloaded this emulator and a big stack o' games, half of which we can't get to work.

Ultimas 3-5. Oh yeah.

Syndicate. syndicatesyndicatesyndicate.

And Banshee. And, oh, what's that war one with the really cute little guys who die horribly... Cannon Fodder! That rocked.

Oh-oh-oh- and, of course, The Chaos Engine.

Stoatie, can you wing me a link to these supposed deaths by "The Passion of the Christ"? I've heard nothing about them.

Did she actually die cos of the film, or was she struck down by God, cos he was so disappointed with humanity for creating something so blasphemous??

The other odd thing about the Jesus movie is that the man playing Jesus was struck by lightning during the filming.

Which, if I was religious, I would take as God saying, "No, that take sucked. Do it again, and this time with more FEELING...and...action!"

So, it’s jolly late already and I yet Barbelith is everso quiet. You’re all off in this so-called ‘real world’ thing the cool kids keep talking about, I’ll wager. Curses. Is there no-one else around?

Stoats - oddly enough, the Chaos Engine is currently on sale in my local charity shop. I have a feeling, however, that even my P233 with Win 98 woudl be too advanced to play it and I can't really justify setting up my old P75/3.11 machine just for that...

I remember reading Computer and Video Games and coveting it, though, many years ago.

Haus what is that the reply to?

Stoatie: Guess who?
Haus: A lot of stuff about old computer games.

I am confused.

Speaking of computers, I have installed Windows XP Pro *three fucking times* in the last two days. First time I put it on the MirrorDisk partition, meaning I had a 6GB C: drive and 51GB of unformatted space. Attempting to resolve this, I found that I now had two partitions, each of them running their own version of XP Pro. Fucking lunacy. Have finally managed to create a single C: drive. But my graphics card is still knackered. Fuckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahs.
