STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
21:45 / 21.03.04
Hey, now it's vaguely late here!
I've just had a strange evening with my flatmate and a friend of mine from work, the latter of whom kept drunkenly telling everyone I was her best colleague. Embarrassing, yet strangely flattering. And she bought me beer.

BUT- sensibly, instead of going off with them to drink more and get inevitably hammered, I decided to come home, have a quiet couple of beers, and spend some time with my poor neglected doggy, the wife being out at friends' and all.

I'm now kind of wishing I'd gone out on the piss... but I'm pretty sure I did the right thing.

How's everyone else? IS there anyone else? Lateshifters- ASSEMBLE!!!

You did the right thing, Stoats. Most definitely. So, did you go to the party last night? Fun had?

Am just backing up stuff before reformatting my laptop. I may leave it until tomorrow now. Who knew a 3GB file would take so long to transfer over a USB 1.1. datalink?

Yeah, I know. Everyone.

Of course you did the right thing- there was a baby ferret waiting for you in this thread!

Haus- at least you're backing up your files. That's something I always neglect to do until it's far, far too late.

Nah, didn't make it to the party... sat at the pub with Mutley until kicking-out time, then came home and passed out. Also probably a good decision, though not one made consciously.

Ferrets, also cool.

I have a love for all small animals. Is this wrong? (I'm only asking because we have mice in our house, and I seem to be the only one who finds them cute.)

Oh well, if anyone's about, I'm saying goodnight now. Off to bed for me. I've just sampled the hot sauce lilly and her husband brought back from New Orleans... and my head is steaming. I shall finish my beer, read a bit, and hope I'm totally comatose by the time my flatmate comes back and tries to convince me to drink more.

(see? I'm trying really hard!)

Goodnight, all.

The cinema by my subway stop only shows two films at a time. This week, they've got "The Passion of the Christ" and "Dawn of the Dead." It's an unforgettable marquee.

I, however, just got back from seeing "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and am trying to compose an appropriately witty and insightful livejournal response to it, but my brains are completely scrambled from the movie (and lack of sleep.)

I think I might go and see DotD this week. Actually, scrub that, obviously I'm going to see it. It's the undead, after all. Reviews seem mixed, but generally favourable.

Mind you, same could be said for My Little Eye, which I still think is absolutely fucking awful.

I know someone who saw it this weekend and it enjoyed it a lot. I was toying with organizing an NYC barbemeet around it, seeing as Zombies and Beer last summer was an excellent time. But I'm lazzzyyyyy.

Sounds like a good idea. I'm not expecting anything more from the film than just a couple of hours of smash, bang, jump, eat brains, and if it manages that I'll be happy. Smash, bang, jump, eat brains can only be bettered by the inclusion of friends and beer, no?

Well it was colder today than it's been all month. This spring thing is a sham. Except now it's cold and painfully bright first thing in the morning, as opposed to a dignified dark.

Anyone up this evening? What have you all been up to this fine week? All two days of it so far.

Callou callay. Doing anything productive?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK
00:54 / 23.03.04
Well, arsing around on Barbelith feels fairly productive at the moment. Of course, in a couple of hours all my deadlines will kick in and I'll have to catch up, but what the fuck, y'know?

Mazarine
01:03 / 23.03.04
Amen. I'm sorely tempted to blow off school and work tomorrow, just out of grumpitude and reluctance to be helpful in any way. But I won't. Pleh.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Actually, I've been trying to get everyone in the office to change their surname to "Ramone". That could be construed as productive.

Ooh. With a rolling of the 'R'?

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

More with a sort og "Hey, ho, let's go!" But a rolling R is always cool too.

Morning all. Anything exciting happening in our funky sperical lives??

Yeah, i've read the whole of The Invisibles at last!!!

Niiiiiice. What a fucking epic.

I'm watching my newest guilty pleasure, MTV's plastic surgery show "I Want a Famous Face." I started a thread in FTVT. It's pretty depressing.

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

Yeah, 'swicked.

Jupiter- DB's quite accommodating if you're nice to him.

I'm scared of you, I'm scared of me
But scary things will set us free

The "wicked" thing was in response to ZM- plastic surgery shows don't really appeal to me.

Mazarine
02:03 / 23.03.04
And well they shouldn't. I feel dirty just watching it.

Oresa delta 20

I'm not really sure what i'd do with a famous face. It would depend on whose face it was. If it was George Dubya's, for example, i'd probably use it like a dishcloth, wiping up small spillages and so on, whereas if it was Orlando Bloom's, i'd probably just post it back to him. Poor lad hasn't got a lot else, really (apart from stacks of money, and millions of fans and admirers, of course.....)

02:14 / 23.03.04
Stoatie you said ZM- did you get mixed up thinking i was the one watching a plastic surgery show?

He could have the Legolas outfit and his bow and arrows!

Also : waybread from the Elves of Lothlorien!

STOATIE LIEKS CHOCOLATE MILK

No, Z- I meant the Invisibles was wicked, rather than plastic surgery stuff.

I haven't seen any of those plastic surgery shows, but I keep thinkinbg that within the next year or two, I shoudl either get a makeover, have strangers re-do my house or be subject to Texas Justice...since I don't want to subject myself to the endless hot tubs on dating shows.

Mazarine
03:22 / 23.03.04
I wouldn't do a plastic surgery show. I draw the line at showing people my connective tissue.

Texas Justice is pretty keen; courtroom shows were my old guilty pleasure. Can't stand Judge Judy, but Judge Mathis and Judge Joe Brown both seemed to have really good heads on their shoulders.

As long as I don't end on one of those shows where I am asked if I am someone's baby daddy.

I would have to get a refund on my vasectomy.

Baby daddy?
