When? I didn't see this in my timeline. Whoever the fuck/what/when do we get our maypole back?

No, it's 'cos i'm currently eating Quaker Snack ~A~ Jacks. You'd understand if you'd tried them.

Fuck, when i look at the screen my hands go all blue.

NOOO!!!

Credibility be damned!!!

In the name of May Tricks i bring magic into the conversation forum!!! Now i know the mods moved this from magic because it was seemingly off topic, but if we infest it with minimalist magic do you think we could get it moved back?

Shit. Was about to write down a spell but then i realise that i've been compromised : I can't cast against someone's will and May Tricks wanted to leave.

No, but I can achieve your mom.

"In the name of May Tricks i bring magic into the conversation forum!!! Now i know the mods moved this from magic because it was seemingly off topic, but if we infest it with minimalist magic do you think we could get it moved back?"

Magic like in old hippie ladies' beading forums magic? "I will pray to the goddess for you, my dear... do you want to play with my beads?"

I can't cast against someone's will and May Tricks wanted to leave.

Jack, my boy, the solution is to cast against the stated reasons for May Tricks departure, not directly against May Tricks will.

Of course, this may require casting against some other person's will. But why use magic if not to cast against someone's will? If you accept them doing their own will, there is no need for magic as they'll do their will regardless.

Come to the dark side, young Jack.

So i'll just write minimalist magic techniques!!!

OK : here we go, technique 1 :

When casting circles the initiate is prone to calling the quarters and giving the appropriate names of power. Well, for our new magic system here's the calling of the quarters :

Turn to the east and say : you.
Turn to the south and say : and you.
Turn to the west and say : you too.
Turn to the north and say : and you.

Imagine the circle has been protected with a circle of flaming light of any colour that you want it to be, but instead of the unminimalist way of tracing out the entire circle and summoning the fire/light, in minimalism the whole circle just appears at the same time at the will of the initiate.

Then the initiate get's to the task of the spell. Well instead of the unminimalist method of guiding you through the words and instructing you at each point, you can just read and grok, read and grok.

Oi, you. Do me stuff. Listening? Right.
I want : name of desire or request.
Got that?
Good.
I'm done now.
Leave at your own will.

Then after this simple method the circle disappears at the will of the initiate, followed by :

Turning to the north and saying : you.
Turning to the west and saying : and you.
Turning to the south and saying : you too.
Turning to the east and saying : and you.

Finished by : cheers. Do one if you wanna.

Then the initiate is free to do as he/she pleases.

17:01 / 27.02.04
Oh fuck, i've started it off now haven't i.

OK then : I refuse to cast against the will of people i have respect for if i see them as willing what they will and being happy with that, and also if it harms none.

And i don't give a fuck about any arguments against that statement, it's what i'm happy with and that's that.

Gridley i don't follow do what thou will, i add as long as harm none that you respect on the end.

Do what thou will?!? I don't care who said that, if i followed that advice the world would have a pretty ugly fucking problem on it's hands.

Yeah, well, same to you with bed knobs and broom sticks on!

Hey, will that get this thread back into magick?

aus

I'm not sure it wants to be in Magick.

gridley

Are you saying that this thread has a will of it's own!?!?!?!

Wow, that's deepo....

In that case, I guess the thread will do what IT wills. And take us along for the ride!

aus

The thread would now like to change direction and begin a discussion on maximalism.

aus

Maximalism dictates that the greatest change happens on the fringes of chaos.

the garden gnome

Maximillionism?

gridley
19:35 / 27.02.04
Yes, but Maximanimalism dictates that the greatest change happens when you're watching Manimal on TV!

19:43 / 27.02.04
Oh fuck, i'm not writing out a magic technique guide for maximalism, no way, i'm far too lazy.

And as for that picture, is he crushing that panthers neck? My totem power animal is a Panther and i'm getting concerned...........

Luv 'dem beast thingies on either side though.........are they sons of Choronzon?

i object to the blatantly racist picture gridley posted!

as a black man, i am offended by the imagery used

the dominant well dressed cracker ass honkey holding a submissive black panther down

man that's a code for all them racist ass white bread motherfuckers!

you aint slippin that one past me white devil! i know your game

19:55 / 27.02.04
Fridgemagnet i can't explain in words how cool that robot is. It made me laugh out loud and also love it at the same time. There's just something about it that says: "I'm the fucking boss and you know it."

Can it be the guardian of this thread?

Whothehell@where, when i read your post that's when the tears of laughter started appearing near my eyes, but you could be onto something there.

I want that Panther to turn around and pin HIM down by his fucking neck, see how HE likes it.

* clasps hands together

"Well, well, if it isn't my old friend... Black Jesus. I'm so glad you could be here, Black Jesus. I'd like to introduce to some friends of mine. They're Mel Gibson's imaginary Jesus-killing, holocaust-faking Jews! And they'd like a little word with you..."

I'm not sure Maximillian would be the ideal guardian. He's baaad. He kills Anthony Perkins. I wouldn't trust him around any new posters.

Although useful if you want to get rid of any unwanted homework. "Please miss, the robot shredded my geography project."
