Our Lady of The Two Towers

I realise I'm the only one reading this any more but I've read part five and am actually enjoying this now. With no real new characters to introduce Gaiman is able to relax and write some cracking scenes. The old man with the treasure of the templars is Thor (or rather who ever was the original human version in the comics, Donald Blake or something?) and I like the fact Gaiman acknowledges that all that stuff about the MU starting centuries too early wasn't misinformation but a genuine part of the mythology. So the X-Men are off to fight Otto the Handsome for the Fantastic Four, is he allied with the Inquisitor? And now Doctor Strange is about to meet The Watcher, who will hopefully clue him in to what's going on. My guess is that Galactus is what's causing the storms and strange weather, though Strange seems to think it's Viriginia Dare and I'm not sure how she fits in as she's the only person that doesn't appear to have a modern counterpart, so I don't know what that means.

got the first one, couldn't bally finish it!

since then, eyed the covers lustfully when in FP but didnae commit: Gaiman's a charmed knob ain't he, why should I 'elp im out? But........

as each ish appeared and the cuvs got better n better (not true, number two is personal fave and I love the stiffness oveminall)I developed a secret love for the rotting tex-n-pix-phlets.

And like the best on the board I'm fond of the period, the pop history and the shoehorn game the Gay man is playing. If you don't like shoehorn stuff, you are a shit person. How can you not like shoehorn stuff?

So, on returning to Glasgow I shall visit my shoppe and buy 2,3,4,5 and report back when six is all done.

f da trade.

by the way fanboys, there be some traders who've slapped a mighty £6 price tag on number 2 for some reason.

what is it about gaiman that makes people do that?

the Filth 1-13 can be got for 50 earth pence each.

but that seems right I spose.

KwendeCentral also reads 1602, Towers. Issue 4 mildly percolated my interest. I'm just curious when we're going to see the Phoenix revealed, or moreover, when Jean will finally be revealed as a chick.

I also wonder if the glowing bulb that fell from the sky is the phoenix egg.

Wouldn't that be a trip??

What the actual weapon of the templars is is less interesting, but not totally uninteresting either.

Good characterization of Doom.

HunterWolf and I seem to concur on favorite slaggings...

Our Lady of The Two Towers

The 'Treasure of the Templars', based on Gaiman being obvious with the characters thus far is the old guy's stick, which, considering his name is Donald or something, would presumerably turn him into Thor when he strikes it on the ground. Considering that Thor is a storm god it would seem likely that he has been summoned in the hopes of stopping the bad weather in England. What will be revealed when the storm clouds part... Well my money is on Galactus, with Virginia giving herself up to be his herald to save the earth.
