- at present it seems that Barbelith is a terrifying chunk of terra incognita to be explored with much discussion, and we're really quite cute

Thats true- at 1st i thought, how can anyone know anything about anyone, when there are so many people. Spose its the same, like when i went from small school to big school, but after a month of two, its much more,(erm) swallowable. Then every1 makes u feel warm and fuzzy.

Elijah: it's particularly illuminating to learn from F2B that, while Haus is "far too rigid", "it cannot be denied that he can be fucking amazing once he gets started, and he's got a hell of a lot going on under his belt". Hmm, maybe I do wanna be his (lap)dog: Flyboy, outside, now!

Elijah, Freelance Rabbi
22:44 / 24.04.03
yeah, what exactly IS going on under his belt?

Sex: nah, I'm all right, thanks...
Location: Seat U173, Upper Reading Room
Political leanings: hardline liberal (cough)
Religious/spiritual leanings: I don't lean. I stand rigidly in the firm ground of agnosticism.
Favourite genre of music: revue
Education: BA/B+++?
Favourite food: Tooty Frooties (oh the shame)

The Strobe

Sex: Male. I cannot be bothered to be witty.
Location: The Great Fen.
Political leanings: somewhere between the centre and the right. Relatively liberal.
Religious/spiritual leanings: They're personal and hard to explain, but Christian Sceptic, I guess.
Favourite genre of music: Oh god, all sorts. Jazz, Funk, Classical, Shouty Guitars, Bleepy noises. Most things bar country.
Education: Graduate with a BA.Hons in English (in some form) June 26th.

Okay, I'll play.

Age: 27
Sex: M. Not Male, M.
Location: King Of Prussia, underneath the fag machine
Political Leanings: free-market socialist, or possibly common-ownership capitalist. Maybe pro-regulation free-marketeer. Or, alternatively, blend of self-organisation and deliberate interference.
Religious/Spiritual Leanings: stick it up your arse
Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): who?
Education: what?
Favorite Food: twenty

01:42 / 25.04.03
I love taking polls. It's a bad habit, like smoking or biting my nails when I'm not smoking. I like to see all my personal information boiled down into tiny little bits for easy consumption. I guess, sometimes, I want to be a number.

Age: A few weeks shy of my 22nd birthday. I feel much older, and I'm pretty sure that's a bad thing.
Sex: Male, mostly.
Location: New England.
Political Leanings: I vote Libertarian , and I'm just optimistic enough to think it does some good.
Religious / Spiritual Leanings: I am a quasi-Buddhist quasi-Taoist Discordian SubGenius Gnostic Zen mystic theist. And I'm not just trying to be clever. I take my complicated faith as seriously as I can.
Favorite Genre of Music: Hmm, well, I really like all kinds. I guess a nice vague "rock" is my final answer.
Education: Not as much as I would like but definitely more than I can afford.
Favorite Food: Dude, Spaghetti-Os. With meatballs.

Ahhh. That was fun!

03:39 / 25.04.03
Age: 9

Sex: Whatever I want to be. This is the Internet.

Location: Music City, Volunteer State, Land of the Free.

Political Leanings: Social anarchist. Generally speaking, I am opposed to formalized politics. I also think that capitalism is a passing fad, like feudalism, so I'm intent on waiting it out and finding out what's next.

Religious/Spiritual Leanings: What's "in" this week? I'll go with that.

Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): Depends on mood.

Education: Too much to waste my time talking to a mere tech writer with a mere BS in Business Economics. Now go away!
Or none at all - I've never even read a book.
(Hey, this is the Internet!)

Favorite Food: Cow or lamb. Whole.

Trijhaos
03:48 / 25.04.03
Oh hell why not I have nothing else to do.

Age: 20 for a little while longer
Sex: Male
Location: Tennessee
Political Leanings: I don't unnerstan' none uv them politiks.
Religious/Spiritual Leanings: Jesus is my special friend. He told me not to tell people about the secret game we play where he touches my naughty place.
Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): Rock with a little country thrown in for variety's sake.
Education: Halfway through my B.S. in Computer Science with a mathematics minor
Favorite Food: The greasy kind that'll contribute to the heart attack I'll have when I'm 35.

Sax
06:20 / 25.04.03
Age: I was born three months after Jack Kerouac died. Could I be Ti Jean reincarnated?

Sex: Male. But I could be persuaded.

Location: North Country Boy

Political Leanings: Better red than dead, but increasingly in theory rather than practice, for some reason.

Religious/Spiritual Leanings: I did once lean on a church while I was violently sick. I think it was a Methodist chapel, actually. Otherwise, I like to cherry-pick bits from mainly Eastern religions, ie the fun stuff but not the devotional stuff. Then when I'm drunk I have a go at people who claim to be religious without being able to demonstrate evidence of true, blinding, unqualified faith.

Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): Popular beat combos

Education: Largely auto-didactic

Favorite Food: Aunt Bessie's frozen Yorkshire pudding mix. And those new Nestley Double Cream choccy bars. Have taken over from Galaxy in my chocca league, I'm afraid.

Hope that helps.

Politics- left wing anarchist voting Liberal
Religion- see the Magick forum. Atheist/Theist quantum indeterminite state revering the Diamond of the Absolute via every facet.
Music- Bob Dylan, Faithless, Alabama 3, The Orb, Trance and 60s mainly although I lean towards eclecticism like all 'Lithers.
Food? Absinthe, dope, beer and the occasional vegetarian meal

You didn't ask "What is your obsession?" or "What is your view of the nature of reality?" or "What was the name of Optimus Prime's head?"

Crap!! That's going to really annoy me now! I know I could look it up, but I want my information now now now!!!

08:36 / 25.04.03
Age: Ya see, being male, I'm relishing the fact that these lines appearing in my forehead, and the lessening of puppy fat that comes with age is, for the time being at least, making my look better. HAH HAHA

Sex: See above

Location: Vicky Park. It's just plain pleasant. And it has the Crown pub which serves dodgy beer, but bloody good coffee on Sunday mornings

Political Leanings: I don't really have any. I know how arsey that sounds, but I tend to be right-wing on some issues, and left on others, etc. etc. Unless Optimus Prime's head tells me otherwise.

Religious/Spiritual Leanings: Human's are the next big thing.

Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): I like pretty much anything. Saint Etienne, Faithless, Lajko Felix (even if I can't find any of his CD's anywhere), Ben Harper are my biggies right about now.

Education: Started off in art and design, got waylaid by bastarding computer-based-training, finished a MA in Interactive Media last year, in a last ditch effort to reclaim some creativity

Favorite Food: Changes all the time. But I just had Korean for the first time a few weeks ago, damn that fermented cabbage is tasty!

Vicky park is nice, compared to the rest of Hackney, which is a little like hell after the apocalypse.
OP's head was a human in a mech suit if that gives you a clue. I think he was called Haus or something..

Yeah, I remember the Headmasters. I just can't recall Prime's head.
I'm over in the Bethnal Green side of Vicky Park, so less chance of a vicous bludgeoning while stumbling about on a Sat night.

.. okay... I'll use *Science*TM to look up the head's name

(google search: "optimus prime's head") ..... (/google search)

..dammit no joy!
Best I could find was "Hey, anyone who nukes Optimus Prime's head is okay by me!"

Hi-Q????
This is where I get confused, I collected the comics more that I watched the series. I thought they were a lot better.

Except of course when Prime died in the movie, that was one of the most tragic moments in cinema history.

Age: 31, but getting younger.
Sex: Male.
Location: N51:25:15 W0:12:25 - though I wish I wasn't.
Political Leanings: I aspire to anarchism. I despair that it will ever be practical.
Religious/Spiritual Leanings: Theoretical agnostic. Practical atheist. Though if I find out the one God does exist, I'll be declaring war seconds later. The fucker. I do admire some aspects of buddhism but that may be more to do with having watched an unhealthy amount of kung fu movies.
Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): From Little Richard to CRASS, via Lee Perry.
Education: Undergraduate degree (I think).
Favorite Food: I have lots of loves when it comes to matters culinary. What would I choose right now if I could have anything? Fish and chips.

You know, the cool thing about transformers is, they're a car AND a robot!

ANYWAY, oh, Anna, how sweet of you to say we're frozen in our mid-to-late twenties. Some of us may be frozen just an eensy eensy bit higher.

I'm a lovely youngish thing who likes reading and eating cheese. I think that's a enough for now!

Optimus Prime's head didn't have it's own name, but he did have a poxy Powermaster for a bit. You might be confusing your Optimus Prime with your Fortress Maximus who had two detachable heads but was still crap.

Anyway, as for me, North London, yes, something I don't care to answer, 14,GCSEs A Levels and a BA, 3.5, almost totally atheistic but not in a Dickie Dawkins sense, 27, 4:30, vague unexamined lefty, far too many to list now, a bias towards electronica but anything that sounds interesting, Lord of the Rings, Adaptation, myself. Plain vanilla.

Within that should be the answer to most of the questiosn you asked and some of those you didn't. HTH.

Favourite genre of music: Stuff
Education: fucked up uni
Favourite food: Prolly Spanish or Italian. And, yes, word up to Moules!

I actually thought this was a really bad idea... but now it occurs to me there's little here that people couldn't already find out if they didn't know and could actually be arsed...

so here goes.

Age: 31
Sex: M
Location: London. That's NORTH London. NORTH.

Political Leanings: Idealistically anarcho-syndicalist. In reality, you just do what you can.

Religious/Spiritual Leanings: Chaoist, with a bit of a throwback to Christianity. Especially the eschatological kind. And the bits about love, forgiveness and redemption.

Favorite Genre of Music (or artists): Hard to pin down. Put me somewhere between Current 93 and Atari Teenage Riot.

Education: BA in English lit and philosophy. Totally useless.

Favorite Food: Is beer a food?

Hi-Q was the name of the powermaster apparently.

Are you sure Optimus Prime's was a seperate dude? I know I'm kinda dwelling on this, but it's a question of great significance.

I remember his head being kidnapped by Shockwave for a while and being forced to commit acts of unspeakable wanton evil, but I don't think it ever transformed into a little man while doing so.

ONLY NICE THINGS
10:41 / 25.04.03
That was about issue 22 in the UK continuity - Shockwave had taken out the remaining Autobots, who had themselves just achieved a shock victory over the Decepticons thanks to Sparkplug Witwicky poisoning their oil. That wasn't a headmaster, though. It was just a head. Optimus Prime's severed head.

His powermaster engine was a Nebulan called Hi-Q. When Prime was killed, his essence survived in Hi-Q and was reconstituted into a new Optimus Prime (probably the Action Master Oppy, at a guess, if such a thing there was) by the Last Autobot.

Don't ask. Just don't ask.
