Bonsoir, suis moi trop premier?

Only I am freeeezing. No heating, but three jumpers, a cup of tea and two pairs of socks. (No gloves as it's perplexingly hard to type in them.) What else to do? Too early for bed which I consider to be the only warm place in this house. Get duvet?

Ooh, you could be snug as a bug in a rug! Is it really late shift time already?

Must be, as I am here doing bibliographical work I should have done before Christmas (or at least, should have done properly) and trying to work out why I am clenching my jaw and can't stop.

BUT! I have the new DWJ! I am very proud of myself for having resisted taking even one tiny peek, even though I've had it since seven o'clock this evening. Oh frabjous day, etc etc. No one is to give the plot away on pain of... I dunno, but something evil and nasty.

well in So-Cali it's only mid-p.m, so still work for me to do. ZZZzzzzzzz I guess you are all UKers that consider now the *late shift*. (Yes, an american that knows there's a time difference!) Work hard at it my sweeties. *talks to self* - 3rd post. Yesss!

Oh KC don't remind me! I know I'm going to buy it, read it, fail my degree because of it. What are they thinking of, publishing the bloody thing so close to exams? Ihateitihateitihateit.

Oh dear, tell me about it, you have all my sympathy. I have this dissertation to write and I just have not done enough work and will not be able to do enough work and it's all going to go horribly worng and... this too will pass...

Hey, a month and a half of extreme stress and I never have to do this ever again... if I just keep telling myself that I might do some work. Maybe. Sometime in the next six hours would be good.

Oh and you'll be far more fine than me. My commitment has hit rock bottom... you haven't opened the book yet, that's got to be a good sign!

DWJ???
And hi all!

Well, I dunno... I've just spent three hours copying down the names and details of pamphlets which I a) have already written down, just not in enough detail and b) don't have time to read anyway - that's not really very productive... and it took me an hour to translate a page of Dutch today... nnngk.

Think I might cave in now though. That book is calling me. This probably means no sleep tonight, but it's got to be worth it... watch out for thread soon.

It's good to know that I'm not the only one with daft working hours, even if I am packing it in for the day. Good night & good luck...

Evening all. I'm about to go to bad. Have acheived little, bar watching TV, going to the doctor's and stocking up on magic medicine, and noodling around making some rather nice music that's vaguely reminscent of Leftfield.

And over on the other forum I frequent, people are liking my latest musical offering to be uploaded, which is kind of reassuring because they're not just being polite; they like this.

I'm tired, though. As ever. Must get some work done soon.

Goodnight (I am so jealous, so very jealous)!

DWJ- Diana Wynne Jones.

Can you not drape the edges of the duvet over the chair?

No scarcasm intended....but now that you mention it, Harharharharhar! (just kidding!)

Im on the last book right now and coincidently enough the discovery chanel has been show tons of specials on that time period. I find that if you read them all in a row they can get repetative. But still good.

I don't know if anyone's up, and forgive me for whining, but god, I could really use some huggles.

April has been a pretty crap month, just due to a mass of little things, but today just sucked. I found out that this ridiculous lawsuit against me by a woman whose giant SUV I tapped with the sideview mirror of my tiny pie-plates and plastic Geo is actually going through, and I have to go to court. The paint on her car wasn't even scratched, no dent, no nothing. My grandmother, while in recovery for surgery on her vertebrae, fell and broke her hip. My father was visiting her to make sure everything went okay and it was not a good trip for him, not healthy at all. April entirely bites.

Sorry for whinging. I just kinda need human contact of the Barbelith kind.

Well, the thread isn't going to die yet.

I'm at home and it's Saturday night. I'm poor as fuck because I spent last night watching the first You Am I show I've been to in over five years. And you should all go see them when they're on tour if you want to Rock.

On an associated point, drinking until 5am is not fun. Well, it is, but... you know.

Just thought I'd poke my nose in and see who's around. Hi, all....

It's 3:10 am here and I'm winding down, getting ready to fall over into bed. I think I'm too tired to remember what else I was going to say, so - Good night, all - quick hugs and chaste little kisses to all.

Apart from me. Sniff.
