ic - if you would like to delete your posts, just click on the "moderate post" option to the left of each post, click the "delete post" radio button, and explain that you would like to remove your post from the thread. I'm sure any moderator would be happy to help you.

I must admit, I'm tempted to decline any requests I see from IC to delte this, purely on the grounds that I'd like to leave the corpse in a gibbet somewhere for the warning off of others, but I'd certainly not do anything until IC pays attention for once as to what the procedure is for deleting said thread.

Sorry, I'm cranky. I just watched 'Last Night' or 'Final Night' or whatever the fuck it was called and am bummed out. It was so bad!

You know, the easiest - and probably only - way that you're going to see this thread die is if you yourself stop replying to it. Then it'll drift down to the bottom of the forum and eventually get deleted as part of a forum cleansing.

As for your intellectual property, maybe if you hadn't cribbed pretty much the entire contents of your posts from somewhere else you might just have a claim to that, but as it is... And anyway, anything posted on Barbelith is the property of Barbelith Industries PLC. That said, since we started to be financed by Coca-Cola, Sony, Nike and Microsoft that might not actually be the case anymore...

For the record, I disagreed with deletion requests. I think that to have individual posts deleted would mean the thread would no longer make sense (as opposed to the immense amount of sense it makes now, I know, but you know what I mean). Either the whole thread goes, or the individual posts should stay.

Guess it's gonna depend which individual moderator receives the deletion request, and what they decide, then, eh?

I suggest we kilt this thread as well. So much cuter in plaid. But then, isn't everything?

I think all threads should be kilted. Or gilded.

No, by common consent: This thread is now plaid.

Something manly and not too Jean-Paul Gautier, I hope. Don't like those girly mini-kilts that were ubiquitous on the London scene a couple of years back.

There's apparently an SM Gays' tartan. Black and blue, natch. Rather fetching, although I prefer the tartans with a white stripe in, to catch the strobe lights when dancing in seedy clubs.

and, anyway, Dead Threads Don't Wear Plaid.

Personally, I don't care for plaids which are too high contrast. I suppose it's just memories of fourth grade teachers wearing odd yellow-violet-peach pantsuits which were an unforgivable assault on the eyes. I see this thread in tasteful colors, perhaps something prep-school uniform-esque. This thread has totally earned knee-socks.

Perhaps this thread should be in black watch tartan, a tasteful mix of blues, greens and deep violet. That's very school uniform (it was mine). Does this thread get a little kilt pin too?

It's hard to go wrong with Black Watch. Now: footwear. Pennyloafers? Vans? Chuck Taylors? Docs? Antique High Heel Red Doll Shoes? Boots, made for Walkin'?

As in Dead Thread Walkin'? Would be in an attractive Jeffrey Dahmeresque orange boiler suit then.

Well, I prefer the "classique" red tartan plaid. Harkens me back to the school days at St. Thomas the Apostle.

However, if we're talking dead threads, color me clad in mink...
